So cute. But it still won't happen! Even the most loyal Singer puppets on big sites like "superherohype.com" have seen the light this past weekend and finally given up!!! Not just that, but now more and more of them are completely turning on Singer and acknowledge the silliness of the story! That's right, the fellowship of apologists is declining faster than Routh's film offers!

Goodbye Singerman - we'll never ever miss you!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31873761.post-24890766722028857942008-07-28T08:58:00.000-07:002008-07-28T08:58:00.000-07:00Excuses, excuses. Stalkerman made $200 mill... presumably based exclusively on the Superman name since nothing else about the movie could've appealed too much to general audiences. That doesn't say the public doesn't care about Superman, it says they're desperate for a good Superman film that actually deserves the name. If a craptastic retread of a far superior Superman movie can earn $200 mill at the box office, one can only wonder how much better a REAL Superman film would do.

Take your excuses somewhere else.theCOLORSblendhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12935643378612870171noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31873761.post-60262985107231510412008-07-28T07:38:00.000-07:002008-07-28T07:38:00.000-07:00Sigh I will explain again how a positive reviewed ...Sigh I will explain again how a positive reviewed movie didnt make more money. Imagine what we would have gotten if Nolan was ONLY a fan of the '89 Batman film?"

So well put! Nolan recognized from the get go that he needed to immerse himself in the comics. Him and Goyer went over to DC offices, talked with editors, read a few hundred of the most important books, and from there on the guy was actually qualified to do it.

Whereas Singer recognized he didn't know the comics, and then went on to say he didn't effin care. Because to him the horribly outdated Donner flicks were all he needed, and even then he cherry picked from them (choosing in my opinion the worst bits to focus on).

In TDK's opening weekend it made a profit! There is still rational debate as to whether or not Singerman Returns made a profit at all, in it's entire run.

And for what, where did the money go. I've seen SR, the CGI is weak, Special Effects in general are scarce, and the movie was filmed with low rent actors in Australia.

Nolan must be a pretty thrifty guy the way he handles his budgets.
His action is live, meaning little to no CGI, his cast are huge, featuring the best veteran actors alive, and he films every from Chicago to Greenland(or Iceland?) and on a gigantic set built into a zeppelin hanger.

The critics, twice now, have given their praise, and comic fans, and non-comic fans alike agree on them.

Sorry, didn't mean to rant about that, but good lord.

Great info btw, thanks.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31873761.post-33331136004802949472008-07-20T19:42:00.000-07:002008-07-20T19:42:00.000-07:00Just goes to show what happens when you DON'T igno...Just goes to show what happens when you DON'T ignore the source material.
