"Fans have been clamoring all over the web--and on this blog--for a complete reboot. And within the halls of Warner Bros. the same debate rages on. They too believe that the last movie didn't break the mold and wound up in some kind of middle limbo. Today I was told that it is a priority at the studio to find the right direction and if Bryan Singer is willing to do that, fine, but if he gets in the way, he may not stay on the project. There are no writers working on a Superman script now. The studio wants to figure it out. "It might be better to start from scratch," one exec admitted."Gee, ya think? But let's look at this in detail. They want to take Superman in the "right direction" which obviously means they have a lot of doubts about what went down the first go around. They'll want something vastly different this time. Does anyone see Singer doing a complete about face on this and suddenly let the studio dictate to him what kind of movie to make? Remember, he thought the first Singerman could spawn sequels as it was. I just dont see him capitulating considering everything that would need to be done differently. I also don't see WB hiring on the Meltzer's and Waid's of the world as his new writers, since they've been vocal about how bad the first film was. Those guys also all clearly stated they were pitching a reboot too.
My best guess? Sometime before the end of the year they announce a completely new creative team and they'll be looking to do a revamped Superman franchise for 2010 or 2011, whichever year doesn't have the 3rd Nolan Batman film. Stay tuned.

Wow, this thing has really taken on a life of it's own. A few Realists were calling for a reboot the Monday after Singerman's opening weekend. Then the rest of the Realists joined in. Then Variety brought out their support. Then comic biz pro's did likewise. Now even WB is talking about it.
Anybody want to bet that "Madame of Swish news" will be popping up on the Younis page any day now? Aside from the "e-mail" (or voice in his head) he received, I mean.
IT's coming down to the wire, any week now we'll hear the end of Singer and the end of Routh!!!!
Pretty soon, Singerman will rest in peace along with the aborted project, Man of Squeal.
Singerman, the 'love child' of Singer & Routh!
A reboot at this point is the best way everything can go...Superman: The Movie was great for it's generation, as it had "golden age" and some George Reeve touches, but still updated the Man Of Steel.
Returns was a REMAKE ( and a slow one at that ) of STM..Nothing was new, nothing was updated except for giving him a kid, which isn't anything a generation can hold on too.
Bout time WB acknowledged that they own DC comics and may want to see what ideas they might have.
Just like I said WB will announce "Man of Steel" is in production. Dont fool yourself, since "Returns" still make more the wanted, the hulk, and hellboy and the movie is 2 years old. What no AP/sss/father firing back. Because as usually the frenchman is right. Right about MOS, Right about olympics, and right about.......................
Singer returning in 2009!
Restart
And I will personally finance the film since with 2 Euros I can buy all of America. Your time has come and gone the new world power is superman and EU!
Restar, you're a dope. After 2 years you still just dont get it. You're the typical apologist. It doesnt mean shit that it made more than that awful Wanted film for Hellboy or Hulk because it cost a SHITLOAD more to make than any of those films. So the fact that Singerman's domestic gross beat out Hulk by $60 million if it cost $100 million more to make and market.
As for the Olympics, I seem to recall your Frog swim team saying they'd "smash" ours in the 400m relay. But your countrrymen, like thye've done in any war in the last century, choked, and it was the stars and stripes standing on the medal stand with gold around our necks. We're also leading in theo verall medal county taking home more than double the pathetic French total.
As for the economy, take an economics class asshat. If the US economy goes in the toilet, the EU, and ASia would soon follow. Our economies are intertwined now in a golbal marketplace with the US being the lynchpin. Read a newspaper once in a while, you have the same recession fears that we do here, despite the fact that your country has propped itself with other countries with decent economies like Germany and the UK.
Don't bother responding to REtard. He is the Apologist stupidity come to "life". We only tolerate him because he makes us laugh, with his inane bullshit and lies.
According to him, the Madame Of Swish film was supposed to have been "greenlight" about a YEAR AGO. The good thing about these Blog's is the fact you can go back and read comments made from the very beginning. So go ahead and take a look back at his claims and whines, especially when he said he wouldn't post here anymore, and that he "beat" us.
'Nough said.
REtard, giving head & packing fudge.
Variety? Who ever heard of that paper? What credibility do they have? Brandon Routh said in a Scottish newspaper that there will be sequel. Go ahead and read your rags like The Hollywood Reporter and Variety.
-Typical Singerman Apologist
Singer is a FAG and Superman Returns was gay.
S.S.S. said, "I just dont see [Singer] capitulating considering everything that would need to be done differently."

Singer cannot tell the kind of story that is needed. He has nothing like it in his body of work, as I've demonstrated in other comment trails. He is, and was, the wrong person for the job.

Not to mention Morrison, who could easily write circles around Meltzer AND Waid. Singer would have to surrender his artistic vision (such as it is) and fold whatever long-term plans he had for his SR arc into someone else's. And Singer thinks of his films as being personal statements, so that's pretty much out of the question. Singer does not want to be any studio's hired gun.
SR was the end of something, not the beginning. It was an attempt at Donner's Superman III. Let Donner's legacy die there and let's build something new.
Shut the fuck up, you Apologist twat. You think you're the FIRST one of your "kind" to try this shit here?
It's "open season" on this asshole. He has PROVEN himself to be an Apologist, and we don't need his bullshit HERE.
HOLY SHIT, WE WON!!!!
The Supeman reboot is on it's way!!!!!!!!

Read 'em & weep, brain-dead ones! ;)
I have many feelings about this news. I thought I knew how it would feel when the announcement finally came but it's not quite what I expected.
I'm deleriously happy that the Apologists are getting what's coming to them.
But then, I'm also deleriously happy that Singer is getting it too.
All of this is complicated by my delerious happiness at the prospect of finally getting the Superman movie we should've gotten back in 2006.
Complicating things even further, I'm deleriously happy that we'll never see Brandon Who in that ridiculous wetsuit ever again.
All of this is off-set, however, by my delerious happiness of knowing how awesome some of the reboot pitches WB has received are.
Immediately though, I become aware of my delerious happiness knowing that Kevin Spacey will never stink up the screen in another Superman movie ever again.
Also, I'm deleriously happy that we'll soon start seeing bits on the Younis page saying how he and Bailey never liked Singerman in the first place and now that the reboot is happening, they finally realized how much it sucked all along, etc.
Finally, I'm deleriously happy that Younis' crowd of Apologist sheep as well as we realists will see right through Younis' line of bullshit.
I'm deleriously happy, what more is there to say?
WORD!
A from-scratch reboot was inevitable. Anybody who went into Singerman with a modicum of objectivity and didn't decide beforehand that they were going to rave about it no matter what was all too aware of this afterwards when the depths of its worthlessness sunk in fully. I still don't think the apologists will concede that a continuation of Singer's drivel isn't on the way until the reboot light is green and a new cast and creative team are in place; the next apologist move I foresee is them dissementing the ever-reliable online petition where they implore Warners to leave BS to his own devices so he can further develop the highly anticipated storyline involving the asthmatic boy of steel.
We did it guys. We did it... Superboy adventures is no more.
Awesome! We won! Reboot is going to take place. Great news guys. Congratulations to SSS and everyone else involved.
Lol, I can't even believe it took this long for them to finally come to this conclusion. I want to give big honkin fuck you to the apologists who never shut up about singerman strikes back or Super piano boy Returns... Beyond the film itself being a tragic missed opportunity, it was the ridiculous and malicious attitudes of its supporters that really motivated me to side with the founders of this blog and do my part to fight for a reboot. Now whether this new reboot will be the film we all want and hope for is the final question left to ponder. Let's all hope and pray it is. Well done everybody!

At this point, they're trying to console themselves by saying "but, but, but at least Brandon Who back!" Apparently they can't quite grasp the concept that "rebooting" means "fresh blood". And Routh? All he'd do is drag Singerman's horrid stench into an otherwise pure and innocent movie.
And who wants that?
FUCK YOU, APOLOGISTS!
The Wall Street Journal? Who ever heard of that rag?

"Superboy adventures is no more."
Actually, I wouldn't mind Superboy; Seasons 2,3, & 4 on DVD, that is.

B.J. Routhman, the George Lazenby of Superman films!
Goodbye Singer, goodbye Routh don't let the door hit you on the way out!! *evil laugh* Hehehehehe!!!!

I've done nothing of the kind. I suppose you're referring to my comments about Singer, in which case, I had no idea you had to hate SR *and* gay people to be welcome on this blog.
