Singerman: My Creepy Valentine

Just in time for Valentine's Day, an emailer sent us this YouTube link to a video compilation of scenes from Singerman set to some rather creepy music that highlights the "Super Stalker" aspect of the film that we all "loved" so much. This is pretty damn funny, and we give kudos to "jmariamellinas" whoever you are. Enjoy.

If you have any more videos send them in to us, we'd love to see them.

"Creepy" doesn't BEGIN to describe what BS turned Superman into.

Who would feel comfortable living in Metropolis if they knew Singerman abused his powers for SELFISH reasons? What if he felt like getting some "kicks", and wanted to watch you in the shower? BS has already set predcedence that he WOULD do it, so no "Apologist" knee-jerk reactions need apply.

Nice editting but I can make bambi look like a serial killer with the right editiing. On you tube they have "Mary Popins" the Horror movie. SSS you are getting desparate asking for videos. Is news drying up. I bet it burns everyone on this site that the more time passes the more this sequel is a reality.

Superman will kick some ass in 2009!

Hey ladyboy! I see you have posted the article where a sequel was "greenlite" (as you idiots say)! Oh wait, you didn't! Did you post where Singerman LOST to POTC2 a the BAFTA's? Nope. And I KNOW you won't when it loses at the OScars, will you? You fucking "Apologst" wretches are pathetic.

The term "Singerman" is neither funny nor clever. While we're at it, why don't we refer to Tim Burton's Batman as Burtonman?

If you can't attack SR without attacking Bryan Singer's sexuality, then just keep your thoughts to yourself.

And with that I believe they are moving forward with the film. Give me one ioda of proof they are not.

Superman will be back to butt ram apologist puncher hard in 2009!

What's the matter, ladyboy? Don't like the fact I can kick your ass all over this blog? Well, fuck you you little whiney bitch.

thats funny, considering the guy who made the video posted it up on YouTube on January 12th, so your 2 month theory goes out the window....

It's also humorous that any time SSS has a "fun" post he gets lambasted for "not having anything to report" yet when he does report actual news people like you say nothing... This isnt CNN it's not a news site, most blogs do things like this all the time, well at least any of the ones that arent simply retyping news..That's part of the appeal of a blog.

Anonymous said...

^ it's also funny how quick some want to declare this site as "dying as slow death" yet it's one of the most commented on blogs that I frequent, and their seems to be more interest in talking about SR than there is anywhere else.
The SR franchise is a dud, there's no buzz about it. There's barely any interest in a sequel outside of some of the studio shill websites.
After BB came out, people were constantly talking about the next film and discussing when will Nolan start writing it, who should be the Joker, how will they advance the story, etc. With SR there's nothing outside of the threads bashing it, the MB's are on life support, and the only news you can find out there that's somewhat recent are bad reviews of the video game and Bosworth's Razzie nomination.

I don't know what forums you visit but there are plenty of people that are excited about the sequel. You are going to have a mix of opinions about almost every movie. X3 is by far the most hated movie on the internet almost nobody liked it. They all say the same thing the Singer X-Men movies were much better. Batman Begins is very beloved on the internet but did it make more money than SR or X3, no it didn't so what does all this internet love/hate really account for?

Anonymous said...

"Batman Begins is very beloved on the internet but did it make more money than SR or X3, no it didn't so what does all this internet love/hate really account for?"

It does not really account for much for the reason that the same small segment of people for the most part are the ones that are starting up the threads and commenting on them. I don't have much faith in Singer or in the sequel at least until i see something that sways me otherwise. However i do agree a very small percentage of people that represent the movie going public spend much time letting their views be heard on the internet about the films.

It's pretty obvious to ALL that you have to be lacking a few VITAL brain-cells to "like" this "film". No one who claims to "like" it shows an OUNCE of intelligence.

Right but 20 mil less WW

The US B.O. is where movies succeed or fail, hence the reason thy made the big deal about hitting $200 million in the US for a sequel.

and if SR was not competing with Pirates a week into it's run it would have made easy another 20 mil Domestic.

And IF the Queen had balls, she'd be King. Deal in reality.

Anonymous said...

please stop making up excuses by blaming Pirates. Singerman had theaters to itself for 9 days before Pirates came out and was disappointing in those 9 days.

You also make it sound as if people who went to see Pirates couldnt go see Singerman as well. If people wanted to go see Singerman, they wouldve.

ApologistPuncher said...

Ok, since we're talking "if's", how about this:

IF BS made a GOOD movie, it would have made $400 million Doomestic.

But like I said to the original poster, IF he had BALLS he's be a MAN.

Not true look at a flick like Casino Royale 166 mil US but a huge hit WW not considered a big success if those overseas numbers are not so outstanding. Yes SR underperformed but it had to deal with Pirates BB was making a lot less than SR in it's first week and then had little competiton to deal with the rest of the way. There is no doubt BB makes nowhere near 205 domestic if released when SR was. 166 mil overseas BTW is a lousy total even for a superhero movie and that is all BB pulled in.

Idiot "Apologist" logic there. Moron.

Look at the BUDGET for BOTH Batman Begins and Casino Royale. Hollywood doesn't care about TOTAL DOLLARS, they care about PROFITABILITY. Rocky Balboa made less than $70 million in the US, but was more PROFITABLE than Singerman. What does that mean? KO Round 1 for Balboa.

Anonymous said...

Not true look at a flick like Casino Royale 166 mil US but a huge hit WW not considered a big success if those overseas numbers are not so outstanding.

Your example is a bad one on 2 accounts. CR made a HUGE amount more worldwide as compared to in the US so that makes up for the discrepancy in income the studio actually sees b/t foreign and domestic films. That's the exception more than the rule. You're effectively citing one of the most skewed examples of foreign film income and trying to apply it to Singerman, which you cant b/c Singerman made less internationally than it did in the US so it's not the even remotely in the same situation.
Secondly SR was considerably more expensive to produce and had to make much more to be considered successful. CR made it's money back in theaters and then some. SR didnt even break even in theaters.

Yes SR underperformed but it had to deal with Pirates BB was making a lot less than SR in it's first week and then had little competiton to deal with the rest of the way. more IF's and BUT's unfortunatley those dont equal $$ for the studio. Keep blaming Pirates, it makes you continue to look foolish after all of your outlandish predictions about how Pirates wouldnt be a factor back before the summer.

*lol* Tom Cruise is also nominated for best actor(!?), so is X3 for best movie(!?) and alot of other duds next to really good flicks like Casino Royale. This award proofs one thing and one thing only: It truly sticks to it's name "Saturn Awards": No human being would nominate so many pieces of shit right next to movie gold.

If you want to impress anyone, post the Golden Globes or Academy Awards nominations. Lucky for you lovers, SR is nominated at least one time for an FX Oscar, but will 99,99% guaranteed lose to the gay pirates. How sad is this!?

Just read the main category "BEST FANTASY FILM". *lol* So why not just point to the nothingness of MTV or SpikeTV award shows also? Brandon won one on SpikeTV and wil likely win one on MTV. actually I the Saturn Awards are about as relevant as that magazine you cited before. That being said it's just a nomination, and this isnt the Oscars so its not like it's an honor just to be nominated or whatever the crap is they always spew.
Did you happen to notice that X3 has the second most nominations? Ya know, the film you clowns roundly trash and act like Singerman was so far above? Funny how that doesnt get mentioned by you, huh? You cant wait to tell us how vastly superior SR was to Singer's former franchise and how Singerman had such a better "story" yet there it is right behind you in the nominations for those highly desired Saturn Awards, that are so exclusive they nominate the likes of "Kyle XY" in the TV categories. LOL how pathetic. "Restart" rhe one Singerman fan left grasping for straws again....

SR was better than X3 i thought it was worse than X-Men and X2 but almost anything is better than the garbage that was X3. I don't get why anyone is making a big deal about these awards. SR is nominated for an oscar for it's effects big deal. If it loses guys like SSS will go crazy and try to use it as a reference that the movie sucked. If it wins the lovers will do the same as a way of trying to prove it was a great movie. This is not a big deal at all. The only oscar anybody even remembers is best picture and most people given a specific year probably could not even tell you what film won.

I would? The only reference I remember even making about the VFX Oscar was that SR would probably grab a nom for one, which it did. Then after it did saying it would most likely lose to the superior VFX from POTC2. It's funny how I'm painted to be a lunatic by some simply because I dislike this film and see through all of the rhetoric.

If it wins the lovers will do the same as a way of trying to prove it was a great movie. This is not a big deal at all. The only oscar anybody even remembers is best picture and most people given a specific year probably could not even tell you what film won.

That's funny, I thought that was the exact point I made in my last post relating to the Oscars. Hence the reason why I found it laughable when WB was trying to pitch SR for any of the meaningful awards.

If certain folks want to make a big deal out of nomination for a Saturn Award of all things, I say let them. Does it make their case better for SR being a good film? Not even close. When was the last time you saw a film or actor introduced with the lead in of "Saturn Award Nominated." If that's th best you can say about a $210 million film then you wasted your money. I agree with V_O_R above, the fact that a piece of trash like X3 is nominated for almost as many awards and they could put Kate Bosworth in the best actress category with a straight face, should tell you all you need to know.

Okay fine then i will hold you to that. So if SR loses at the Oscars then i don't expect to see you gloating about that on your blog since you seem to be downplaying it's importance. Since i am not the one who posted whatever he said none of that has anything to do with me. By your logic that means that you are required to agree with everything anyone who hated the film has to say. I don't agree with everything the lovers of the film say so again that is not on me.

Just like your screen name you have proven again you don't know what a word means. Conjecture is anything that can not be proven by facts. It may appear likely to be true but can not be completely proven. There are very few undeniable facts on this blog that is the point i was making when he complained about being referred to at times as a lunatic.

Boy gone for a day and look at this blog still a "wreched hive of scum and villiany". Listen if there was no Saturn nods SSS would jump all over this. The man can not admit when he is wrong. So far I have posted proof a sequel is on the way as "denialist" post conjecture. It is pointless to argue with fact, but it hasnt been the first or last time. There are people out there who think Elvis is still alive. So there will be people who will believe that Superman will not be back in 2009 up until the movie is released! Even then when the movie once again breaks all records will they say "Well BS didnt have much control" or "Its a better movie because XYZ".

With Singer it will be possible to see in 2009, Superman!

Restart.

WOW SSS is back and I thought he was hiding under his bed with the 10 Saturn Nods.

And with that, ladies and gentlemen, THIS "ladyboy" has shown he is not worth ANYONE'S time.

The sad part is, I figured he COULDN'T be any more retarded than he already PROVED he was. Goes to show, you CAN'T peg HOW stupid a person is. They will ALWAYS take it a step LOWER.

Exactly what records did Singerman break the first time for a sequel to "again break?" Besides being the slowest film ever to reach $200 million that is...

Here's how it SHOULD read, jizz-muncher:

LOL you are fucking kidding right. So any link that is posted is to be accepted as fact and not conjecture or rumor of any kind. That is essentially what you are saying here.

Anonymous said...

^ no what he's saying is posting a link to another news source doesnt make the guy who posted the link guilty of "conjecture."

That being said, most of the items I see on this site are linked to newspaper articles, information websites like BOM, and magazines like EW.
I'll state again, the point of a blog isnt for reporting news, a lot of what's done on blog's is Op Ed type stuff. So saying that the blog author's opinion isnt a "fact" seems rather idiotic...

FACT --->WB has slated sequel for 2009 release
FACT --->There has already been budget discussions.
FACT --->Director, writers, and actors already engaged

The only piece "denialist" can hope for is WB dropping Singer. All hope and no fact. One more fact that is.................................................wait for it.......................................................................................................

From IGN:

Superman Sequel Title?
And Singer is still interested in the X-Men.
by Stax

November 9, 2006 - With Bryan Singer now confirmed as the director of the next Superman movie, the rumor mill has offered up what may very well be the title for the sequel.

According to IESB.net, the working title for the follow-up to Superman Returns will be Superman: The Man of Steel. The site says Warner Bros. had no comment.

Singer advised fans at this year's Comic-Con that the sequel will be the Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan to the first film's Star Trek: The Motion Picture, meaning more action and less talk.

In related news, The Honolulu Advertiser caught up with Bryan Singer and learned that the Superman sequel "will likely begin production mid- to late next year in a location yet to be determined."

Many layers of supporting documents on the sequel. Denialists have Jack and shit.

2009 as stated above!

From Wikipedia

The film officially passed the $200 million domestic mark on October 22, 2006.[2] On October 25, 2006, IESB.net reported that a deal between director Bryan Singer and Warner Bros. had been finalized for a sequel. The budget will reportedly be reduced; however, the existing sets would contribute to lower costs across the board for the upcoming movie. In addition any sunk costs for the abortive sequels in the 1990s would not be included in the budget. The sequel is expected to be more action focused than its predecessor.[39]

The working title for the sequel has been reported, and neither confirmed nor denied, as Superman: The Man of Steel.[40] The focus will be on a tighter story with more villains and bigger action sequences.

Hmmm more proof guess I am right after all

Man of Steel in 2009!

Untitled
Superman Returns Sequel

Plot: Unknown

As of October 2006, this sequel has been confirmed by director Bryan Singer and green-lit by Warner Bros. for a Summer, 2009 release.

Confirmed cast members are Brandon Routh as Clark Kent/Superman, Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor, Parker Posey as Kitty Koslowski, Frank Langella as Perry White, Sam Huntington as Jimmy Olsen, and Eva Marie Saint as Martha Kent. Kate Bosworth's health is in serious question and she has not been confirmed as returning to the role of Lois Lane.

Rumored villians other than Lex Luthor have been Brainiac (fan teaser poster to the right suggests this), Doomsday, General Zod, Bizarro, and Nuclear Man... just kidding! Mark Pillow is too busy tending bar in Europe to return to that "memorable" role.

Greenlite for 2009!

your movie probably sucks when:

- you dont even break even at the box office
- the studio admits you fell over $100 million short of expectations
- magazines owned by the same company who owns the movie (WB) trash the film.
- numerous blogs and websites pop up on the web calling for the directors head.
- a few months after the film opens, the lead actor is seemingly in witness protection
- you tout Saturn Award nominations and articles from a fan site that's bought and paid for by WB as signs that it's good.

Wow you people are that stupid. Not one website has been posted to counter my arguement. That means instead of fact you sling insults. Clearly showing how moronic and ignorant of facts you are. IGN, Wikipedia, and the others are posted all seem to have a giant conspiracy against this site. Nay the whole world is being paid off by WB to like Superman Returns. Man what a bunch of ass clowns! Not one website that states WB reluctance with a sequel. You can insult me again but I did show this entire site and people visting it are worthless in gathering facts. With just the handful I posted, i showed you all up and I am happy to say.

Superman will fly again in 2009!

REstart

Feel free to to sling mud since that is all you can do - since you cant disprove the above facts. Not one of you simply amazing

Anonymous said...

^ ReStart is apparently too stupid to even know what "points" of his people are arguing. I dont think anyone is disputing that Singer is signed to do a sequel allegedley for a 2009 film which are all that those articles you post say. The facts are, according to Dan Harris that no script is written and that he's not even 100% sure he'll be doing it. Also there's no greenlight for a sequel yet. They dont greenlight films until they see a script and can determine a budget. That's Hollywood Studio Economics 101.
The sad part is that you have such a hard-on for another dose of Singer's crap you go out of your way to make yourself look foolish as if it somehow makes the first film and it's poor box office results look better. We dont need a conspiracy to show this movie sucked. All you need to do is look at the numbers and all of the "hate" on the internet for it, well at least the parts of the internet that WB isnt bankrolling.

When someone posts links to nothing but rumors and conjecture how the hell does that make them any more credible than the person who originated the article? For Example posting links to articles that claim BR is gay when he is engaged to be married is nothing but rumor and tabloid nonsense and SSS has contributed to that.

Anonymous said...

^Those articles that were posted were from June and July of 2006 BEFORE they announced their engagement, genius.
And I think SSS made it pretty clear when he said it was "the RUMOR that wont go away." He also seemed to be poking more fun at WB's PR people scrambling to counteract the "gay" press Routh was getting as opposed to him actually being gay or not.....

Singer is a FAG and Superman Returns was gay.

Way to prove what a fucking IMBECILE you are, retard.

See, he posts the links and YOU make the determination whether you want to believe it or not. He does not say "Hey, everybody, go here because EVERYTHING this person wrote is based on FACT!". No, he doesn't. And since most of his links are to OPINION PIECES, it is not "conjecture". I guess that was the word of the day over on Bluetights. Bunch of fairies on THAT message board I hear....

Oh, and here's ANOTHER does of reality: Being engaged in Hollywood does NOT mean you AREN'T gay. If you believe that it DOES, come back when you get out of grade school.

Go fuck yourself, junior.

What seems to be getting lost here (to some extent) is profitability. Raw box office numbers reveal nothing about a film's actual success as it does not measure costs (pre, production, post, promo, etc). If a film where to ever make $300 million in US box office alone and $250 million worldwide but cost $600 million to make, it'd be high in the top 10 most successful films ever and still be considered a flop because it lost $50 million.

The Superman S-symbol is one of the most internationally recognized and beloved icons in all of human history and that alone guarantees a certain box office return. If you combine that with a reasonably compelling story, directorial vision, acting performances (along with everything else Superman Returns lacked), the film would've been a home run almost by default. WB apparently wrote off all previous expenses in bringing a fifth Superman film to the screen after Singer signed on, which means every penny of SR's budget was on the screen... and audiences gave it a cold shoulder.

Forget about POTC2, Batman Begins and any other excuse you can think of, the cold, hard numbers tell the truth and Singerman was a MASSIVE disappointment. A sequel is inevitable but we can expect WB to committee bang it since Singer screwed up with SR. There's nothing wrong with the cast and the effects of SR (even though they weren't perfect), it's the director and writers who had no business showing up for the game.

I don't outright loathe Singerman (there were some entertaining portions) but largely it left me ambivalent and, it seems, my experience is fairly common among average moviegoers. The box office returns back me up. Sad, but true.
