Even Dean Cain Thinks Singerman Sucks

Well you know you've reached a different plateau of "suckitude" when the worst Superman of all time, i.e. Dean Cain, thinks you suck. In an appearance on the KTLA morning show ( you can watch the video HERE if you can stand the vapid, tedious morning show banter), Cain was on talking about his guest appearance on an upcoming episode of Smallville as well as his time in the tights, when the subject of Singerman was breached by one of the douchebag morning news anchors (who himself even called the film "not very good"). He kind of puts Cain on the spot about his impressions of the film. Cain's response: 'Um it didnt do very well at the box office...but it was umm "visually stunning," I'll tell you that."

Really Dean? That's all you could come up with? You couldn't even put out a "it wasn't too bad" or something even a bit more positive? That's like going out on a first date and when a friend asks you how it went, you respond by telling him that she had nice shoes. You could tell Deano was struggling to find something, ANYTHING to come up with on the spot, and that's all he (a Princeton University grad BTW) could come up with? Hilarious, to say the least.

I actually dig Lois & Clark. It got goofy in places, but largely I think it's good. And Cain has something going for him Routh never will.

In a word- masculinity.

At least Lois & Clark was it's own thing, a modern take on Superman, not a throw back to a bygone era.

I know Cain was trying to be diplomatic but "visually stunning" is a stretch, quite frankly. Never has there been a more bland, dull and lifeless looking film. There's black and white movies that still leap off the screen in comparison. Say what you want about Smallville, but that show's cinematography runs rings around SR.

That's what you get for using new, digital camera technology that's still in development Mr Singer. Genesis HD indeed!

Whilst the JLA's casting's still up in the air, the recent news that Academy award winning DOP Dean Semmler is on board is worth getting excited about, and the news that WETA is set to do the costumes should be very interesting.

I wonder how long that news will take to surface at the Homepage??? Good ol' Younis leaps on the rumor about Stamp, yet other news re JLA is very slow to materialise, if at all. I suppose he must be trying to find another source that either debunks it, or he's digging deep to find some half baked rumor about MOS still going ahead.

Ahem, I've posted this on the other "thread", didn't realise this one so I'll just repost it here, heheh...

Whoa, Dean Cain aged gracefully! I mean, he looked exactly the same as his Superman show days.

Speaking of him, I'd say that while most of you might disagree with me, Dean Cain is a WAY BETTER Superman than Brandon Routh will ever be. He has the looks. The only drawback of his Superman this that, of course, the first and foremost, his height. I mean, he is the SHORTEST Superman around, LOL! And the next one is, his Clark persona looks more Superman-like than his Superman persona. The different hairstyles between Supes and Clark that they applied in the show is, in my opinion, the EXACT opposite of how it should be in the comics. But that's probably it.

LOL, notice how he said that his son LIKED his Superman more than Brandon's!

And yes, while Dean Cain is trying his best to not "hurt" the feelings of those apologists, saying "visually stunning" is probably the best thing that could be said by anyone on his position.

The SingermanHomoHype seems to have a field day with the guy who posted this info over there. And how pathetic is it that even a mod pisses on him!?
No wonder I don't post there anymore. Just a bunch of hypcrit nazis spinning the truth.

On another note: Why does everyone make this about Dean Cain? It's the newsguy (payed by WB!) who brought it up by saying "... and it was not very good!". How should Cain react to this? He was clearly caught off guard. All he wanted was to promote Smallville but suddenly gets this bomb thrown at him.

"At least Lois & Clark was it's own thing, a modern take on Superman, not a throw back to a bygone era."

The impression I get is that this show was based more on the post-Crisis revision by John Byrne in the comics. Examine the evidence: both Kents alive & well, Clark the real identity with Superman being the disguise, businessman Luthor, etc. I'm sure it wasn't 100% EXACTLY like post-Crisis, but it was a complete 180 from Donnerverse. Singerman Sucks, on the other hand, was a Donner clone.

You know, the apologists argue that there's nothing wrong with continuing Donner, because it reverences what he accomplished as well as Christopher Reeve, & John Williams as well. I say, that's all well & good, giving the devil his due, so to speak, credit where credit's due & all of that. But I also say something else, that was then, this is now. Time to move on.

Lois & Clark wasn't so very far removed from the Reeve films, yet that show didn't continue THAT continuity. Rather they were at least INFLUENCED by post-Crisis enough to pattern the show after it. You know what's interesting about the sheep, if you cry 're-boot' they totally dismiss it due to Singerman & Donnerverse, but what about L & C? Why isn't someone crying foul over the new film not continuing THAT continuity?

Don't hold your breath waiting for the apologist brain-dead sheep to come aroung, though.

Meant around; wish there was an edit option here so we can correct typos. We realists make the occasional typo, while the brain-dead apologist sheep simply can't spell or use correct grammar or punctuation.

"Why isn't someone crying foul over the new film not continuing THAT continuity?"

Great post. They're quick to complain about Smallville, yet Singerman is supposed to be a continuation of the Donnerverse and yet it delibertely shits all over it's memory.

At least Lois & Clark moved with the times. "Clark Kent is who I am. Superman is what I can do" sums up the modern take on the character. Christ, even the animated shows have moved past the Jerry Lewis acting Clark Kent. That's what Reeve did, and he did it damn well. All Routh did was display his total lack of comedic skills in attempting to emulate Reeve's take on Clark. As goofy as his Clark was, Reeves also was able to give the character depth, with only a certain look to display the Superman hidden beneath.

That was one wagon Singer was just flat out wrong to try and have a flake like Routh try to imitate....and I've said this many times all over the net. Reeve was an actor playing Superman. Brandon Routh impersonated Reeve playing Superman.....badly

Hey, do you think BS PERSONALLY shaved BJ's body before he put that wetsuit on? I do, and I bet BJ didn't ask why he had to shave his sack too. He just enjoyed the "happy ending" he got when it was over.

Dean Cain was the worse piece of Superman casting i have ever seen. I remember watching the pilot of Lois and Clark and hating his take on Superman so much i never watched it again.

Anonymous said...

"Dean Cain was the worse piece of Superman casting i have ever seen."

No, Brandon Routh actually beats Cain for poor casting.
Physically, Routh's a bean pole that had to wear a padded suit, hearkening back to the days of George Reeves. (shoulders, biceps, upper torso, and upper thighs were padded.)The skinny neck sticking out from the clown suit is a dead give away.

What made Cain's Superman bad was a number of things.
The show was primarily cheap on effects. After the first few episodes, the flying scenes became for the most part non-existent, and pretty crappy.
Cain's costume, though not as atrocious as Routh's, was more of a caricature of what Superman's costume should be. And as someone pointed out earlier in this thread, Cain's hair was styled exact opposite of what it should have been from Clark to Superman.
And lastly, the series was too heavily a "chick" show, action wasn't the primary focus.
Cain's acting was so-so, but compared to Routh's lack of talent,Cain shines. Cain could at least display a wide range of emotions. Routh would make a lousy Mime, much less an actor.
I was never a fan of Lois and Clark, but fair is fair, and Cain is a notch above Routh.
Before Routh, I always considered Cain the worst Superman.
Routh has since lowered the bar.

For S.S.S

Best case scenario, Let's say JLA is the big dog at the box office, Warner buys out Singer's contract and waves bye bye.
Further, let's say a new Superman franchise comes out of the JLA.

My suggestion to you, if these events were to take place, is to create a Superman fansite that is unique.
By that, I mean a site for Superman FANS, and not the "fanboy/Younis/Singer" crowd.

The Singer Sucks site will have served its purpose, but a decent Superman fan site that's different, and isn't run by someone with their head up their ass, suffering from delusions of grandeur, would be refreshing.
The only other suggestion I would make is that if you carry message boards, some oversight be in place.
Not the overbearing crap like the SMHP etc., but some control over outlandish, unprovoked attacks would be a sensible step.
Think about it.

Anonymous said...

At least Cain isn't an Apologist. He didn't make excuses for Returns. Effects were the only good thing you can give the film, but the story and everything else about it ruin even THAT aspect of the film.

Anonymous said...

Cain's not my favorite Superman by any stretch but someone mentioned his suit, and that was one thing they did get right, for that show. In "Lois & Clark" the costume was made to look as if it was actually made by his mother, and was referred to as such a few times.

Routh's costume looked as if it was made for him by Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert.

Copy and paste into your browser, then read it and weep. Evidently Miller has decided to follow Singer's lead and shove his head up his own ass.

S.S.S., the JLA film seems destined to be a crap fest of kids sucking their thumbs in tights.
They should re-name the film "Teen Titans". The cast Miller is shooting for appears to be barely out of their diapers (with the exception of Common.)

I now see why Welling most likely will not be in this film. He's bulked up and matured. Next to him, most of these JLA cast members would look like babies.

I think once again Warner is about to fuck up a super hero franchise before its even started.
Marvel Entertainment should be running Warner studios.

Hey at least they got Batman right with Nolon and Bale.

Apparently none of those actors tried out for the role of Superman. So that puts my mind a bit at ease. I'm still not liking these choices at all. I REALLY want this movie to be good, and if they cast this young then they are opening up the same can of worms that they opened up with Routh's casting.

Anonymous said...

Those names are not in any relations for any role! They read for some roles, could be the younger versions of the heroes or could be completely unrelated, like important supporting characters!

Miller is casting since when now .. late August? Early September? I doubt he still doesn't have at least Supes, WW and Batman cast!

Otherwise Singerman really managed the impossible and killed the "Teen Titans" project too, so they now have to mix them all together. But I don't believe Miller would kill his rep with such a dumb project.

Couldn't agree with you more on the lousy casting choices.
Warner Bros amazes me with the studio's blatant ineptness at handling super hero films.
How the Hell Nolan and Bale managed to produce a superior Batman film through this studio is beyond me. These suits who call the shots haven't a clue about the product they're trying to market.

As much as I'd like to see him take on the role of Superman, Welling would do well to avoid this film completely.

Marvel really should be in charge of DC's film franchise. Warner is a cluster fuck.

I could be wrong, but I would think (Read:hope) that these are for the younger versions of the characters.
There will probably be an origin story aspect of the movie where we do a montage of all the characters origins, and these could be what they're casting for.

If not...well...WB has doomed any chance they ever had of seeing these characters properly represented on the movie screen. I envy Marvel fans.

I hope that Miller hasn't confused his JLA project with the suppose it, Kara/Supergril spinoff that WB/CW is trying to launch.

"I could be wrong, but I would think (Read:hope) that these are for the younger versions of the characters."

You're wrong fella, the article quotes Miller that he wants the actors to mature in the roles through subsequent sequels.
What it boils down to is Miller, like any other Hollywood director that was never a comic book fan, doesn't realize what a bad call he's making.
I envy Marvel fans too, at least Marvel Entertainment keeps an eye on these kinds of decisions, and will torpedo them quickly.

ApologistPuncher said...

Let's not go the Apologist route and proclaim "doom & gloom" right away. WHEN the cast is announced, THEN go for it. Just because they "read" for the parts, DOESN'T mean they GOT them.

And really, as long as they get Superman right, the rest will fall into place. If they don't, then I'll be right there with you.

Anonymous said...

"Dude, go back and read again. Miller says he wants these kids to mature in the roles over several sequels.

1. You (we) don't know what roles they were trying for! All there is is a list of actors testing for "key" parts in the movie. They simply could've been testing for important supporting roles or younger versions of the heroes! We probably see the origins of all JL members, so that would explain the freakishly young actors - and only young actors! - on that list.

2. If Miller is really so committed to this project and wants to make multiple movies with the same cast, I'm actually very happy with the direction he's going and have all the confidence in the world that he will deliver a great movie series! Just look at all of the Academy Award nominated and/or winning production crew AND Millers track record with movies! The chance of him screwing up is very small. Other than Singer, he had his fair share of hits and misses and he's old and wise enough to make the right call. Better yet: He's an actual fan of the comic characters!
I know that says nothing about the final product, but it's at least a very good sign.

Here's the scoop......Welling fans can blame our good friend Steve Younis for firing up Al Gough and basically getting him motivated to interfere with Warners plans for Welling on the big screen.

Younis may have printed Gough's response, perhaps he should've printed the enire conversation. Gough was off the radar about the JLA plans, but poured cold water by demanding Warners keep Welling to his Smallville commitments.

Sometimes going to the source does more harm than good when you look at the bigger picture.

And Younis claimed he wanted Welling for the part, he should've thought it through before stirring up a hornets nest....

Did Rob Sanchez go to Gough? Emi Jayne?? No, they know how these things transpire, only a hack like Younis would stick his nose in and destroy weeks of negotiations

Clearly Warner is blinded by their own ignorance of the genre, and has a total disregard for its fans.

For all the knowledge and understanding of the super hero genre Warner is exhibiting, they may as well be trying to build a car. Both products are out of their realm of expertise.

Now, we get people auditioning who are, at least right now, too "young looking" to play the characters they are rumored for. HEROES at least has ADULTS playing their parts, and is a HUGE show. What does WB do? IGNORES THIS, and wants to cast "young"? Why?

the only thing that'll get Warner's attention, is for the "fan" segment of the audiences not go see these fucked up films.

If your instincts tell you its shit, then don't spend the money to find out.
My instincts tell me kids in Justice League costumes is shit.
Until Warner releases info that debunks this news, I have no intention of seeing this film.

That's why I said "Right now, anyway".

If things come out like they did for Singerman, then I'll throw in the towel. But if whatever 20-something they pick for Supes and Bats hits up Gerard Butler's trainer and 'roids dealer, packs on the muscle, and at least RESEMBLES Superman, then I'll wait to reserve judgment until I see it.

Do I think they will go that route? Probably not. They'll work out for a few months, get "toned" and think: "Hey, I look a little like Christopher Reeve now" and call it a day. THAT will piss me off more than anything. You AIN'T Mr. Reeve, do your OWN thing. Look how far mimicing got BJ....

Of all the news that's come out, what makes you think we could've made a difference either way? I've seen little or nothing to make me believe fans are being considered in this latest round of rumors.

"If you read any of my post you understand that the scipt and the comments such as 'Angelina Jolie of the JLA' describing wonder woman is just bad"
Well, if it had to be either Jolie or Jimmy Carter...

I don't think I'd ever heard of Gerard Butler before 300 came out, but that film was awesome and his trainer must be also considering how ripped he was for 300. If someone did that for Supes and Bats it would be MUCH appreciated; away with the fag swimmers physiques already, BJ.

As far as age, let's not forget that Christopher Reeve was 25 when he first played Supes, but was about 30 in the film and looked a MATURE 30, so he was believable. BJ was less believable even though he was 26. He actually LOOKED younger and had a skinny neck; Supes should AT LEAST have a thicker neck that makes him look like a man, not a boy. He doesn't have to be a muscle-bound freak but at least should look MASCULINE.

I'll reserve judgment for now until I have more proof, but if they deny Tom Welling, they may really be shooting themselves in the foot. I don't want to hear WB cry when Marvel CRUSHES THEM!

Check out Reign Of Fire to see how puny he was. Christian Bale looked HUGE compared to him. A little weightlifting and some Test Deca Dbol goes a LONG way.

And to think, ALL he had to do was some "shrugs". They aren't hard to do, and they produce results almost immediately. NEVER trust a trainer 100%, ESPECIALLY one that listens to BS' bullshit.

Singerman Apologists are going to be ticked Routh isn't in JLA. They're a negligible portion of the fanbase, but as BOF and Singerman Homepage show, they are out there.

Smallville fans are going to be ticked Welling in JLA. They represent a significantly larger portion of the fanbase.

Batman fans tend to be Nolan fans. I'd venture at least 70%. They're pissed JLA even exists in the first place. A minority are even MORE pissed that Bale isn't going to be in it.

JLA will rise and fall on Superman and Batman... and the majority of fans of both characters seem to already be pissed off before one frame has been shot. Any one of those could be overcome easily enough, but pissing off all of them... well, the final movie had better be good. Damn good.

It goes beyond that. There are other actors besides Bale that can play Batman. Christopher Reeve didn't originate the role of Superman.
The issue and problem at the center of everything are the studio heads at Warner, and poor judgment.
Yeah, I'd like to see Welling as Superman, but not in a JLA film full of kids. Essentially, a good story demands good casting.
If Warner does this, (goes with a cast of kids.) it'll be another notch in it's belt of ineptitude.
Batman Begins has been the only super hero film Warner has ever come close to doing right in decades.(Future sequels are in risk of being gayed up with the introduction of Robin. Nolan plans this at some point.)
Someone keeps bringing Keaton up as an example of casting that upset everyone, but turning out ok. That's not a good analogy. Keaton wasn't in diapers.
Warner Sucks. If it ain't broke, they'll break it. Just give them time.

ApologistPuncher said...

"Future sequels are in risk of being gayed up with the introduction of Robin. Nolan plans this at some point."

Actually, both Nolan and Bale have said that Robin has NO place in this Bat-Universe. Which is a good thing. Look how well introducing a kid did Singerman Peeps.

A MURDERING kid at that...

"Batman Begins has been the only super hero film Warner has ever come close to doing right in decades."

Not quite. Superman 2, the Donner Cut, was a superior product IMHO even though it was basically a DVD release. True, it is choppy in places but that's because Donner never actually got to finish it because those morons the Salkinds fired him, so they had to work with what they had. However, Zod and crew are pictured in a MUCH better light, there's the Brando deleted scenes (worth the purchase price alone), and a better display of Lois and Clark/Superman. Even THIS was better than Singerman Sucks!

Warner also succeeded with 300, but that's technically not a superhero film, although it is based on a graphic novel by Frank Miller.

Anonymous said...

As much as I would love to see Welling and Reynolds as both Supes and Flash, those two actors just wouldn’t be right for Millers vision of JLA.

Anonymous said...

"Not quite. Superman 2, the Donner Cut,..."

You're splitting hairs guy, Superman 2 falls into the "decades" since category. The Donner Cut wasn't a new film..It really wasn't Donner's cut per se. Warner studios themselves through that package together, putting the cut scenes back into the film.
It WAS choppy. The Clark/Lois gun scene wasn't even real film footage from Superman 2, it was the screen test for a Lois Lane edited in.
The 300 isn't a super hero film.
So with the exception of Batman Begins, today Warner pretty much sucks wind when it comes to the super hero stuff.

The Donner Cut is decent, but it's poorly put together, the music choices are pretty questionable, some of the duplicate footage from the Lester cut actually looks and sounds worse in Donner's version, etc.

In my opinion, Donner should've done a Kevin Smith and used animated scenes to flesh out what he couldn't finish in the film. In particular, this would've come in handy for the Lois/Clark/gun scene and the "Superman turns back the world" ending.

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

"The Donner Cut is decent, but it's poorly put together,"

Basically that's what I was saying. I think the scene of Lois jumping out of the Daily Planet window was superior to the jumping in the river sequence, but other than that, the movie was poorly edited, and the Zod trio fight scenes lacked the punch of the theatrical version.
But you gotta remember. Warner Studios packaged this DVD as the "Donner"cut, when in reality it was a gimmick by the studio to re-sell Superman 2 and make money.
Donner had been fired from the film during its filming, and never had a chance to finish what he started. Thats why these re-edited "in" scenes are so uneven and choppy. I loved the added footage of Brando.
I think better results would have been achieved by combining the best scenes from the theatrical version and Donner's cut scenes, and some thoughtful editing to make it all flow better.
Because of the choppiness and poor editing in the "Donner cut", the theatrical version is better.
(Using the "spinning the world backwards TWICE in the Donner cut film should have been avoided.)

I don't think it has anything to do with the Superman merchandise because they have been aware of the site for quite some time and they never had a problem with it before.

Although Welling,Cavill, and Bomer would all be better choices, if it is Porter, we already know he can act cirlces around BR.

SHomohypesters are already crying over BR not even being considered, and are making up all sorts of excuses, and BR is this generations Supeman bull.

Don't feel sorry for them. Miller is better than Singer and the photoshops of Porter, if he is Supes, are far more impressive than BR ever was.

So, thankfully no BR, no BS, too bad about no Welling, Cavill or Bomer though.

"(Using the "spinning the world backwards TWICE in the Donner cut film should have been avoided.)"

Agreed, although he's on record for explaining why that is. No biggie. I realize the goals of the Donner Cut. To provide as much Donner footage as humanly possible without relying on Lester material unless absolutely necessary. A "hybrid cut" (and there are many fan edits out there which prove this) might have had a better story but wouldn't really be a true Donner cut.

The more I think about it, the more I think that we as fans might've been better off with a fully animated film which Donner could've rewritten as necessary to tell his story rather than being stuck with an unfinished script from 1978.

Oh well.

On it's own merits, the Donner cut sucks and has no place whatsoever on any "Top 5 Superhero Films" list. The Lester cut, flawed though it may be, is still superior.

And if it's true that Younis running to Gough threw a "monkey wrench" in the Welling negotiations, and the HomoPage was mentioned, it doesn't take a genius to figure out WHY they would "allegedly" take your MASTER'S ass DOWN. Open your mouth, get a big, fat corporate SHIT taken in it.

My breath totally stinks, I am totally, totally gay (no, really, I love men, absolutely), and everything "anonymous" says about me is totally true. I'm even an elitist intellectual who eats my own feces 3 times a day.

Boffo reporting, anonymous! You found me out!

And coincidentally, we're seriously considering your idea to rename it the Superman Homopage. You know why? Because that would just so rock, because when we're not busy being marys and sticking poop in our mouths, we actually listen to feedback.

But get this...and here's where it really gets funny.

I'm okay with being a homosexual with bad breath who sticks poop in my mouth. Actually, that's kind of entertaining to me.

But I'd really be loathe to be the sad, pathetic kind of intellectual coward who obsesses over homosexuals who eats their own poop and have bad breath so much that they go onto anonymous sites and try to slander them because they have no damned life at all, posting inaccurate information because they're too juvenile to deal with the fact that their opinion about a movie differs from someone else's.

A person like that, who could abide being that person?

But hey, what do I know? I'm just some dumb elitist signing his own name to his comments, leaving his own personal phone number (253-274-1123) and telling you exactly where you can find him for any and all disputes, anonymous! (1206 S. 19th St., Tacoma, WA 98405)

Now that I have finished having my laugh at your expense, I'll go thank the people who pointed this laughable thread out and get on with my day. On the Supermam Homepage. That still exists. And is still the number one Superman site on planet Earth.

I believe it is called "halitosis".

"Hey all!

Neal Bailey here. The real Neal Bailey, not a fake, the guy who writes for the Superman Homepage.

Anyway, I just figured I'd weigh in here.

And is still the number one Superman site on planet Earth."

Take a look at the previous posts in this thread, compare the fucking LAME "insults" and lack of personality, and tell me it WASN'T the same person.

Hey Felcher, if you had actually said anything VAGUELY insulting, or hell even FUNNY, I can understand you claiming to "laugh" at ANYBODY. But since you got your sissy ass KICKED, to make such an outrageous claim is pretty sad. REtard sad. Does your poor mental state come from the repeated ass-pounding Younis and swright give you on a nightly basis? Do they "tag" each other in, and call you "BROTHER!!" a lot?

And for everyone who ISN'T an Apologist douchebag, I'll be verifying the info posted above. If it's really the shit-breath's number and address, I'll let you know. My guess? Bullshit.

ApologistPuncher said...

Oh, sweet Jesus! It IS his info, and holy SHIT, this guy is a HORRIBLE "writer"!!

Take a look at this little sample of his inane BULLSHIT:

"Superman, (Kon-El, AKA Jonathan Kent, because the former Superman is now in retirement) standing across from an angry and frothing Lionel Luthor, son of Lex. Luthor in a hocked up version of the Green and Purple battle suit of his father. Luthor is shooting rays from his suit with his arms extended at Superman, who blocks them with his hands. They are in the midst of some kind of strange and futuristic lab. Lionel Luthor has normal, short length red hair.

SUPERMAN
Luthor, don’t make me...

LIONEL
SHUT UP AND DIE!

2. Superman is pushed back by the beams lightly in virtually the same panel. He’s almost knocked over.

SUPERMAN
All right, Lex! I gave you fair warning.

3. Close up of Superman’s eyes, glowing red.

END PAGE ONE

PAGE TWO AND THREE

SPLASH: Superman’s POV, over his shoulder, of heat vision arcing out from his eyes and blowing the top of Luthor’s suit off. Luthor is thrown back in extreme fashion, slamming into some tables, breaking glass, etcetera. It seems his head is on fire.

LIONEL
Ahhhh! MY EYES! MY EYES!

CAPTION
My first mission. My first failure."

WOW, the SUCKITUDE is "off the charts"! Hey, Neal "The Felcher", keep "reaching for the stars" little buddy! Your "talent" is going to take you FAR.

Like to the Jack In The Box you hold-down the drive-thru for.

Allow me to "proof read" this example of Neal Bailey's VOMIT-INDUCING "writing".

See this?:

"standing across from an angry and frothing Lionel Luthor"

Now this:

"All right, Lex! I gave you fair warning."

So, he's standing across from "Lionel Luthor" (Nice job of ripping-off a show you claim not to like, genius), but he "warned" Lex Luthor? I guess HIS "Superman" has Alzheimer's already? Or, it could be he is an extension of Felcher himself, and is just a moron?

Here's another:

"Luthor in a hocked up version of the Green and Purple battle suit of his father."

Let's see the definition of "hock" or "hocked":

hock 1 (hk)
n.
1.a. The tarsal joint of the hind leg of a digitigrade quadruped, such as a horse, corresponding to the human ankle but bending in the opposite direction.
b. A joint in the leg of a domestic fowl similar to the hock of a quadruped.
2. A small cut of meat, especially ham, from the front or hind leg directly above the foot.

hocked, hock·ing, hocks
To disable by cutting the tendons of the hock; hamstring

So, as you can see, "Lionel Luthor" was "fighting" Baileyma, er, Superman, while wearing a PIECE OF HAM. OR, he was wearing a piece of ham while HAVING HIS HAMSTRING CUT? Brilliant!!

Come on back, Neal "I Felch For Fun" Bailey! See who has the last laugh, bitch!

Pretty fucking SAD, isn't it? I must have made him cry, because his man swright is here to "defend his honor".

What a couple of butt-pirates.

I've been thinking about this off on on yesterday, and I've finally settled into a calm decision.
I've been riding this mental roller coaster over Singer's awful Superman, praying to whatever Gods they be that there's never a sequel,(and every indication is there won't be) and along the ride the frantic speculation and rumors over the JLA film and all the garbage that's been bundled with it.
I've watched and participated in the arguments between Realists and Apologists over Superman.(I'm not in the Apologist camp)

But yesterday, after internally summing it all I up, I realized I'm sick of it all.
It's ALL Bullshit. It's ALL a waste of fucking time and energy. The character is a commercial product and is going to be bundled and shipped as such, and there's no telling what the fuck you're going to get, because your thoughts and opinions don't matter to the powers that be.
Any decisions on how he's going to be presented will be made by image makers kowtowing to suits, and directors who haven't the slightest idea what the fans want, and don't care what they want. They have their own vision in mind.
Batman Begins WAS a miracle.

So I don't give a Fuck anymore and I'm no longer posting here or visiting the site. I know Apologist puncher will attack me for this, but you guys may as well make up with the Apologists, because after the dust settles and all is said and done, you're ALL gonna be screwed.
Even that worthless turd Retard is going to be taking it anally. The best way to fuck up your enemy is to have them fight amongst themselves.
I think Warner has the twisted view its super hero audiences are the enemy to be overcome, instead of listened to.
So, at the risk of being savaged by Apologistpuncher, I apologize for every mean and hurtful thing I've ever said toward the Apologists. Its a fruitless and counterproductive because Warner is out to fuck both sides. We as realists may be more aware of it than the Apologists want to admit, but its nonetheless true. Warner wants to bend us ALL over and apply the astroglide and go to town. They don't care one way or the other.
I'm done with all this shit, Over and OUT.

I have heard some complaints in my time, but you guys all sound hypocritical.Dean Cain was trying to be polite about saying the movie was terrible.Give the guy credit,he doesn't always like to be put on the spot.Give him a break!

Dean Cain is hardly the worst Superman of all time. In fact, even if that were true, he has the benefit of holding the title as the best Clark Kent of all time. You win some you lose some.

The problem with the show Lois and Clark were the lack of quality villains (and the fourth season). Lex Luthor, as played by John Shea, was really amazing actually. At least they got the most important Superman villain right.

The thing with Cain's Superman physically was the suit; the fabric, it's shine and the wrong shade of blue. I think the problem with Cain's performance AS Superman was his lack of presence and command in his voice, especially in the first season. He
also has too much of a baby face for Superman. He did have his moments once and awhile. And why the complaints about his height? He's 6ft tall, that's tall enough. How tall was George Reeve? Guess what, 6ft tall. Don't see anyone else complain about that. He also didn't need any poorly and all to obvious pads to fill him up, so to speak, in his suit.

lol @ the person who said Routh has more of a career than Dean Cain ever did or will have. Must be a huge fan accounting for the apparent blindness. Despite being his only theatrical film release to date, I think being in a film with Denzel Washington (2003 Out of Time) is pretty up there. To my surprise, he actually held his own in his scenes with Denzel, which is no small feat.
