Hello Everyone,
It appears that the San Diego ComiCon was this past weekend. Lots of movie news, clips and previews I hear. One conspicious absence though, and that was Singerman: Madame Of Swish. Why? I think this little tidbit from Zach Snyder might help explain it:
"They asked me to direct a Superman movie, and I said no," Snyder says. "He's a tricky one nowadays, isn't he? He's the king daddy of all comic-book heroes, but I'm just not sure how you sell that kind of earnestness to a sophisticated audience anymore."Now I don't agree with the latter part of his statement. But the former? They ASKED HIM TO? Doesn't sound too good for the Apologists, now does it? I'm sure they are preparing their "hes suck a lier dey dint axe him to dureck a swooperman mofie!!" and "i dink dis meens dey r gunna half to let brian do MOS!!!". Steve Eunuch must be whipping them into a frenzy over at his "pit".
How many Apologists do you think ran and told their Mommy's??

His comment highlights the problem though. Superman is a tough sell these days. So much so that a big time director and a fan of the character like Syder is turning down the chance to make a Superman movie. Life sucks for Superman fans anymore. Batman is tearing up the BO and we have jack shit to look forward too.
I don't think we should write Superman off while a TV show about his entering its 8th season. That's just me though.
"I don't think we should write Superman off while a TV show about his entering its 8th season"
You mean Days of our Lives AKA Smallville?
Not really a show about Superman or at least a really bad fucked up one on a shitty network.
So what Batman is breaking BO records and we got Smallville, now i'm really depressed.
Hey now, I'm not the fuckwit Apologist who whines about Superman being a tough sell when he's been in movies, cartoons and TV shows for twenty one damn years straight.
Sounds like Apologist bullshit to me.
"Hey now, I'm not the fuckwit Apologist who whines about Superman being a tough sell when he's been in movies, cartoons and TV shows for twenty one damn years straight.
Sounds like Apologist bullshit tome."
All i did was comment on what Snyder said you faggot piece of shit and I'm not the fucking douchebag that attempted to call that horseshit program on the CW, Superman. Smallville is not Superman. It is a God DAMN soap opera, that shits all over the legacy of Superman by ignoring almost everything about him that makes him iconic. Singerman and that piece of shit program you like have a lot common. So fuck off.
Oh and another thing if you don't think Singerman hurt Superman's viabiity at the Box Office than you are a complete retard. Or do you think it is a good thing that well known directors and fans of Superman like Snyder are publically saying they don't want to make Superman movies because they don't know how to sell him? A lot of people won't touch Superman right now thanks to you know what.
TDK is tearing up the BO like Singer tore up Routh's asshole.
Hey fuckbitch, did you know SV was just a weekly TV show? Of course it's a soap, it a fucking weekly TV show about an ongoing journey asslips. And did you know it's the longest running show about Superman ever you fucking cry baby?
Man alive, people.
You know, there was a time when this blog had a certain amount of credibility. Of respect. You know, back when it was actually posting credible sources and de-spinning them.
Now, it just seems like we're all about tearing each other down. I mean, we're all Superman fans, right? We all want another Superman movie, a GOOD one, right?
All this ripping each other to shreds isn't going to speed that up. It's only going to prolong it. WB doesn't know jack about the Internet. They look at it and see a divided fanbase, which to them is a lose/lose situation.
If you don't buy THAT, then maybe you should consider how you've basically destroyed all of this blog's journalistic cred by posting offensive, bigoted tripe over and over and over again.
The hard truth is, if WE ALL had acted a little less like spoiled brats and a little more like our professed favorite hero... we'd already have another movie.
"Hey fuckbitch, did you know SV was just a weekly TV show? Of course it's a soap, it a fucking weekly TV show about an ongoing journey asslips."
By that ass backwards logic, Seinfeld was a soap opera as well. And how is SV about Superman exactly? Does he play Superman? No he plays a whiny fucking crybaby version of Clark Kent who bitches about why he can't fuck Lana Lang, whines to some ugly blonde Bimbo the show just made the fuck up and gets made fun of by Lois. Can someone explain to me what the fuck she is doing in SV, in the first place? Lois is supposed to be the love of his life not someone he dislikes and then after like 10 years wants to be with. SV pissed all over that one like Singerman and that fucking weird looking kid. Oh yeah and longest running show on a network that gets the same ratings as the cooking channel is not much to brag about.
SV blows
That's it for me, SV nuthuggers make me want to vomit
Has anyone considered that WB may not own Superman long enough to care what happens to him? If I'm not mistaken it's looking like Siegel/Schuster could put him up as a free agent, giving Sony or others a crack at him.
"All i did was comment on what Snyder said you faggot piece of shit and I'm not the fucking douchebag that attempted to call that horseshit program on the CW, Superman. Smallville is not Superman. Ah, see? Now you're trying to back off from your original remark that Superman isn't the attraction he once was by implying that somehow a show about him that's going into its 8th season is somehow just as bad as Singerman.
As some other guy said, it's a weekly drama. I'm not going to say the show is perfect but it's better than your beloved Stalkerman by a damn sight.
"Has anyone considered that WB may not own Superman long enough to care what happens to him?"
As that other dickhead's precious BS has demonstrated, WB will do anything with Superman they deem necessary if they think it'll generate profit. Siegel lawsuit or no, WB will make the Superman stuff they think will sell.
And anonymous fudge packer? SV actually is successful, unlike Brandon Who's out of date drab fest.
"Siegel lawsuit or no, WB will make the Superman stuff they think will sell."
Although I'm aware there are SOME who don't particularly LIKE Nolan's Bat-franchise, one thing all will have to agree upon is that WB/DC have 'lucked' upon a goldmine here, but not so much by their own doing. Rather, I think Nolan was already somewhat of a 'dark' director per his other 'serious' films, & it was to WB's benefit, because THEY wouldn't have had the SENSE to do it (they'd probably have continued from Batman & Robin, despite the flop).
So, Nolan comes in as a serious, 'dark' director who obviously took the characters SERIOUSLY. No funny business. He did the reboot, Batman Begins, which did so-so at the box office, but established great word of mouth, DVD sales/rentals, & cable, etc., so it developed a serious following. It didn't hurt that the Joker was hinted at the end of Begins, long before Ledger was even cast. But then he was cast, which caused all this hoopla even BEFORE his death, which further AMPLIFIED it.
I think the bottom line here is that WB 'lucked up' with a director who actually HAD a VISION. But does that have to ALWAYS be exclusive to Batman? NO! WHY can't someone both competent AND respected be assigned to handle the SUPERMAN franchise?! Couple that with the RIGHT TAKE on the characters, WHY NOT see similiar as with TDK?!
"As some other guy said, it's a weekly drama. I'm not going to say the show is perfect but it's better than your beloved Stalkerman by a damn sight."
The same stalkerman i just trashed what the hell are you on? So if you hate SV that means you love Singerman, in what fucked up world does that make sense? Most comic fans of Superman think SV is total shit, since it ignores a great deal of his character and makes shit up all the time.
"And anonymous fudge packer? SV actually is successful, unlike Brandon Who's out of date drab fest."
What the hell does Routh have to do with anything? He sucked, the movie sucked, next subject.
"The hard truth is, if WE ALL had acted a little less like spoiled brats and a little more like our professed favorite hero... we'd already have another movie."
Actually, you are without a doubt, 100 %, absolutely, WRONG.
If we had all "played nice", WB would have handed the balls BACK to BS. They would have thought "Meh, it didn't do so well, but no one is really bitching. Maybe he can pull an X2 this time...". Instead they see the heat, the anger, the down-right HOSTILITY that Singerman created, and it has moved them to look about for a NEW director.
And that's what we wanted from the beginning.
And how exactly does calling your fellow Superman fans every bigoted name in the book get you your Superman film? I was talking about how the denizens of this blog treat each other, not your complaints about SR, which are legitimate.
Lemme put it another way. If you can't even treat your fellow Superman fans with respect, why should anyone trust your opinion about Superman? You don't put what you've learned from Superman into practice. How does anyone know that YOU know what Superman's all about?
Do you think Superman's all about throwing a punch? A quick blast of heat vision to solve all disputes? Because that's how arguments get settled on this blog.
As I said before, if we all acted a little more like our professed favorite hero, we'd already have our movie. We'd have a united fanbase. We'd have a consensus borne out of genuine dialog with one another.
This name-calling and fanbase division has gone on long enough. Treat your fellow fans better. Give them the benefit of the doubt. They're not the ones who made the movie you hate so much.
^ As if you and your little group of Hitler youth Singerman Apologists don't contribute to the division. SHH bans people who disagree. The Younis page will allow no reference to this blog whatsoever (because it badmouths Herr Younis and Neal Eichmann). Blue Tights has the cleanest track record of all as far as I know but even that forum is full of Apologist fuckheads who all seem to think Superman was created in 1978 by Richard Donner.
So no, we Realists are not the ones causing all these fractures and divisions, it's you and your Apologist buddies. How about you straighten them out before bitching at us to fall into line?
You guys just have to admit that there are more people who like "Returns" then most of the superhero movies this summer. I think WB would be a fool not to use Singers abundant talent. That is why MOS........
Will be on its way in 2009!
Restart
ALl the "denailists" must hate themselves while watching X2 and enjoying it.
"And how exactly does calling your fellow Superman fans every bigoted name in the book get you your Superman film? I was talking about how the denizens of this blog treat each other, not your complaints about SR, which are legitimate."
Let's get something straight right here:
NO ONE who "defends" Singerman Peeps is a "Superman fan". Period.
"If you can't even treat your fellow Superman fans with respect, why should anyone trust your opinion about Superman? You don't put what you've learned from Superman into practice. How does anyone know that YOU know what Superman's all about?"
I am not sure what planet YOU live on, but I live on the mudball named EARTH. Why doesn't the lion lay down with the lamb? Why can't women drive? Why are you whining? These are also things that just are the way they are. You can either "roll with the punches", or you can sit back and pout. Your path is evident, but excuse me while I "make some noise".
And don't EVEN attempt to question MY Superman knowledge. Who the fuck are YOU, anyway?
"As I said before, if we all acted a little more like our professed favorite hero, we'd already have our movie. We'd have a united fanbase. We'd have a consensus borne out of genuine dialog with one another."
Go spout this bullshit rhetoric at the places it's NEEDED. Falling on deaf ears here. See how Steve Eunuch reacts when you say you didn't like Singerman Peeps(even though I'm guessing you DO). Try SingerHomoHype. Try BlueNuts. THEN you will see just WHO is "dividing" the fanbase.
Do you see anyone deleting posts here? "banning" people for contrary opinions? Fooling people into believing FALSIFIED information was "legitimate" with NO retraction to further our cause? N-fucking-O.
We let people say what they want, but you BETTER be ready for the response. Just ask our resident mongoloid REtard, or his "clone" that has been posting recently. You aren't fooling anyone, by the way.
Either stop your incessant bitching, or fuck off.
"Who the fuck are YOU, anyway?"
Probably Younis wanting to make nice with us now that it's all but official that Singerman has been out to pasture. He and his little gimp have posted here before, right?
"Probably Younis wanting to make nice with us now that it's all but official that Singerman has been out to pasture. He and his little gimp have posted here before, right?"
He most definitely has, along with DragonBreath Bailey and their gimp swright.
"Why don't you guys just get along with us so WB can make Madame Of Swish?? You are SOOOO mean!!"
thecolorsblend said, "As if you and your little group of Hitler youth Singerman Apologists don't contribute to the division."
I'm not saying they don't. Two wrongs do not, however, make a right. You say you know more about Superman than they do? Prove it with your actions.
Oh, and by the by, it was how people reacted to your mention of Smallville that caused me to start posting. There's no call for that.
apologistpuncher said, "Let's get something straight right here:
NO ONE who "defends" Singerman Peeps is a "Superman fan". Period."
That's as ridiculous as saying no one who defends SMALLVILLE is a Superman fan. And it's a lame way for you to weasel out of treating people right. Superman wouldn't act that way.
apologistpuncher said, "I am not sure what planet YOU live on, but I live on the mudball named EARTH. Why doesn't the lion lay down with the lamb? Why can't women drive? Why are you whining? Pragmatism, not idealism? There's no excuse for treating your fellow fans the way you have. None. Not even the fact that they've treated you this way FIRST is an excuse.
Understand. I don't care that you're angry about SR. That's perfectly fine and legitimate. I concede that argument. You win.
What irritates me is how, on a blog that wants to elevate the Superman movies above what Singer came up with, the dialog on how to do that is rife with intolerant invective. That's not reflecting the spirit of Superman, people. It's not even good journalism.
Again: treat your fellow fans better. Get angry at WB all you want, because all they see in the S-shield is a license to print money... but treat your fellow fans with respect.
Just because things ARE a certain way doesn't mean they SHOULD be that way. It's up to you and me to change the status quo.
apologistpuncher asked, "Who the fuck are YOU, anyway?"
Does it really matter? It's not like 'apologistpuncher' has any meaningful attachment in real life. You'll know you're talking to me from the tone of my posts.
apologistpuncher said, "We let people say what they want, but you BETTER be ready for the response. Just ask our resident mongoloid REtard, or his "clone" that has been posting recently."
Wouldn't it be better to try to reason with them? To explain why, from a story perspective, in terms of characterization, plot, and editing, SR was a hopeless mess? And if they won't be convinced, to just let them be?
That takes effort, though. It's far easier to just unleash the heat vision, huh?
apologistpuncher said, "You aren't fooling anyone, by the way."
On what count? By all rights, there's no reason why we shouldn't be able to discuss our differences without flaying each other alive and tossing each other into a salt mine for the coup de grace. That's all I'm saying.
I'm not going to waste time copying & pasting your regurgitated crap. So the smart-ass posting "anonymous" is raising his nose at ME, huh? That is fucking HI-LARIOUS.
Why don't I join hands with you Apologist douchebags? Because I don't WANT TO. Can't you get that thru your fucking skull? And since you are a newbie bitch here, I can tell you that there are some people at WB who know the name "apologistpuncher" because of this Blog. What they don't know nor care about is some limp-wristed whiner who posts "anonymously".
Here's a tip, dink: Go alllll the way back to the beginning of this Blog, and read EVERY story and comment posted. THEN you can attempt to judge what has gone on here. Until then, keep your weak-knee'd, "oh won't SOMEBODY think of the CHILDREN?!?", let's hold hands and kiss grumblings to yourself. Nobody asked for your opinions on me or anyone else who posts here.
Oh, and since we're telling people how they should post, maybe your stupid ass should post something ON TOPIC for once?
"As I said before, if we all acted a little more like our professed favorite hero, we'd already have our movie." Some Younis sheep.
Wake up fuck wit. If we all were quiet and sweet like the biased, blind sheep on Superman Homo Page we'd probably had real news of an upcoming Singerman sequel. And only whiny little fags want more of that.
People are angry. Angry at the piece of homo erotic boredom that was forced down fimgoers throats in the guise of a Superman movie. Don't come over here whilst the fire still burns and demand everybody play nice.
and as for Smallville.....
..it's STILL being made.

To prove that being gay isn't a problem to me, I truly hope she IS a lesbian.
And that a sex-tape "leaks"....
Being gay isn't a problem the fact that Singer made Superman gay is.
It's the same as Schmarlrer making Batman wear Bit nipples.
apologistpuncher said, "So the smart-ass posting "anonymous" is raising his nose at ME, huh?"

Not really. I was just asking a question, which I still haven't gotten an answer to.
How does ripping our fellow fans to shreds get us a Superman movie? They don't make the movie. WB does.
***
apologistpuncher said, "Why don't I join hands with you Apologist douchebags? Because I don't WANT TO."
***
First off, I'm not an Apologist. I already said you were right about SR.
Secondly, willfully deciding to antagonize a particular group of people isn't something Superman would do. Nor is it the act of someone who is as profoundly affected by Superman as you and the others who started this blog claim to be.
At his core, Superman is about hope. Superman is about seeing the good in others even when they don't see it themselves. Even when they fight against you and hate your guts. That's why Superman doesn't ever give up on Lex.
If you can't see that, you don't really understand Superman.
***
apologistpuncher said, "I can tell you that there are some people at WB who know the name "apologistpuncher" because of this Blog."

And if WB announced tomorrow that a Superman reboot was in the works with Michael Bay at the helm, how would you react? Would you be gracious to the Apologists, or would you take the opportunity to rub their faces in it?
Careful with your answer. You'll reveal what kind of character you have and what kind of person you really are.
***
apologistpuncher said, "Go alllll the way back to the beginning of this Blog, and read EVERY story and comment posted. THEN you can attempt to judge what has gone on here."
***
See, that's the thing. I've BEEN reading this blog since the beginning. I've read almost all of the comments. I'm sick of how Superman fans treat each other on here. There's no excuse for it.
And as I said earlier, it's basically destroyed this blog's journalistic credibility. When this blog started, there was very little slant in the articles. Now, the bias seeps in from every corner, and there's hardly a post that doesn't delight in putting the other side down.
This is unacceptable, especially for a blog that claims to understand Superman better than Singer and his Apologists. If you claim to understand Superman's spirit better, then you should REFLECT Superman's spirit better than the opposition.
Otherwise, your words and efforts are hollow.
***
Father Finian Egan said, "People are angry. Angry at the piece of homo erotic boredom that was forced down fimgoers throats in the guise of a Superman movie. Don't come over here whilst the fire still burns and demand everybody play nice."
***
They should be angry. What Singer did wrong with SR could fill volumes. Superman should never be whiny, should never be anything less than inspiring.
I mean, if Singer had just stuck with his concept, that Superman has been out of the culture for a while and comes back, SR would've been vastly improved. SR did not show the effect Superman's absence had on the world. He did not have to earn back their respect. They welcomed him back with open arms. If Superman had been fighting uphill to earn his place back for the entire movie, it would've provided sufficient character motivation for pretty much everyone.
But Singer was completely wrong for the film. Singer makes movies about outsiders. Superman, while he is an outsider, is not about that at his core. He's about hope. The story should be about what happens when hope is introduced into a situation where there doesn't seem to be any.
...all THAT being said, there's no call for why we should be directing our anger at EACH OTHER instead of at Singer and WB. Singer and WB made the movie. Singer and WB failed to understand the character.
If you truly understand the character of Superman and what he's about, it will affect how you treat other people, particularly other Superman fans.
"If you truly understand the character of Superman and what he's about, it will affect how you treat other people, particularly other Superman fans."
Just shut the fuck up with your "Since you don't do what I "think" Superman would do, you AREN'T a fan". It's tired, juvenille BULLSHIT, and NOBODY here wants to hear it.
As to the rest, all you did was repeat yoruself over and over. "Gracious" to the Apologists? Not on YOUR miserable "life", junior. Which I would gladly sacrifice, for the opportunity to...destroy what the Apologists stand for.
No one gives two shits what you think about us or the Blog. This will be the LAST time I respond to your incessant whining.

No. I won't shut up about it.
You show me one time where Superman treats his opponents the way this blog treats the Apologists, and I'll take it all back. Show me one time where Superman completely loses his temper and hurls vile, disgusting, intolerant insults. Show me one time where he stops believing in the innate goodness of ALL people, not just his allies.
That's not the Superman I know. The Superman I know behaves like he did in All-Star Superman #10, extending the peace treaty to Lex to the last.
It's Lex who spits in his face. Lex who promises to trample everything his opposition stands for. You're acting like Lex Luthor.
But here's the thing: you don't have to. Every passing minute is another chance to choose a new path. There's a better way of doing things, and that's what I'm trying to get through to you.

apologistpuncher said, "As to the rest, all you did was repeat yoruself over and over."

That's because I never got an answer, just excuses.
You care about this character, this fictional character. You value how he's interpreted on film enough that you're willing to tear down flesh-and-blood people if they disagree with you. So I ask you, what is it that you value about Superman?
If you value what he's about... which is, hope and believing in the innate goodness of all people... then you value those things yourself.
If you don't really value those things, then you're just paying lip service so you can get an adrenaline rush in the theater.

Be careful when you fight the monsters, lest you become one yourself. Think about what you just said. You're actually willing to kill another human being just to destroy Bryan Singer's interpretation of a fictional character.

I ask you pointed questions, and this is the best answer you can give? You must not have any, because you're attempting to bury the questions with scorn.
The truth is, you, apologistpuncher, have lost sight of what Superman is all about. You won't try to bridge the gap between Superman fans on the Internet because you don't want to. You're so dedicated to tearing the edifice down that you're even willing to sacrifice another human being's life.
These are the words, thoughts, and actions of a selfish, petty, spoiled bully. NOT a Superman fan. They are your conscious, willful choices.
But they don't have to be. You can be a better person than this. You have better stuff within you. All you have to do is hold yourself to a higher standard.
If you can find the courage to do so.
Hey, you guys know them Apologists? MAN, do they SUCK.
One type of "person" comes close to their level of suckitude, and that is whining, crying, judgmental little BITCHES. The same type of "people" who dodge drafts. Call people "homophobes". Drive electric cars and are "vegans".

It's been well-established who knows the character (or even just has a passing familiarity with him even) and who doesn't.
As for being gracious to the Apologists... no chance in hell. When the reboot is announced, it's open season on them as far as I'm concerned. We Realists have been insulted by them, banned from forums, etc, just for pointing out the myriad weaknesses, definciencies, absurdities and all around suckiness of Singerman.
No, when the time comes, I'll be first in line to put every last one of those motherfuckers in their place... hopefully starting with this anonymous Apologist fuckpole we're dealing with here.

Smallville is not about Superman, it never has been and how hard is it to get re-newed when you broadcast your fucking show on a channel that's ratings are competing with the likes of Giligan's Island Reruns?
"Smallville is not about Superman, it never has been....."
Here we go again.....the usual Superman Homopage standard line.

I think you'll find that most people think of it as a "Superman Show"
Only anal retentive geeks like yourself get bogged down in fanboy obsessions like you're doing.

Incidentally, Smallville at it's worst (which, for the record, is pretty fucking bad) is infinitely better than anything seen in your beloved Stalkerman, if for no other reason than the female leads don't look like little boys.

Let the record show that I appealed to the good in you, even when you threatened my life. How is that attempting to secure any kind of victory, other than reconciliation?

The question is, do you prove that familiarity with your words? Or with your actions?

We Realists have been insulted by them, banned from forums, etc, just for pointing out the myriad weaknesses, definciencies, absurdities and all around suckiness of Singerman."

Yes. We have been treated terribly. But the true test of our character comes in how we treat our enemies. It's easy to respect someone who respects you. But to be gracious to someone who honestly hates your guts, who insults you to your face, who kicks you when you're down... ah, that's quality of character.
It's all a question of whether you want to be Superman or Lex.
I'm about expecting this guy to start talking like on that original Star Trek episode where their mind was zapped by 'Landru.' "Peace, joy, & contentment to you, brother. Are you not of the body? The will of Landru....."
Or Yoda. Take your pick! ;)

You're like a bizarre mix of Miss Manners, Gandhi and the bratty little office snitch in every workplace who whines every time someone tells even a slightly off-color joke...
... when you're on this forum anyway. When you're on your precious little Younis page or Blue Tights, I'm sure you're the scourge of Realists everywhere.
Remember kiddos, Capt. Numbnuts here wants *US* to play nice while he and his little braying group of dipshit Apologist sheep keep reminding all and sundry that Stalkerman outgrossed Batman Begins and has everyone who doesn't fall into line banned.
You want everyone to play nice? Go back to the Younis page, I hear they're pretty inconsolable over SDCC coming and going without a Madame of Swish announcement. I bet they could use a hug so go make yourself useful.
"Let the record show that I appealed to the good in you, even when you threatened my life. How is that attempting to secure any kind of victory, other than reconciliation?"
This idiotic WHINE is pretty fucking funny when this sissy ends his post with this:
"It's all a question of whether you want to be Superman or Lex."
See, this numbnut says I "threatened" his life. How? By quoting Lex Luthor from Superman The Movie! This fucking moron wants to go around "challenging" people's knowledge of Superman, yet the dink didn't even "get" it?? How STUPID can you be?
I admit, I am the Lex Luthor to the Apologists' Singerman. But wait, isn't Lex Luthor a "villain"?
Read JLA: Earth 2 and you'll get the connection.
an ass-pologist to reading the comics? what are the odds of that ever happening?

When did I do that? When did I even defend SR?

So what you're saying is, this page isn't for people who were dissatisfied with SR but don't want to stoop to ripping other fans to shreds? Only people who want to destroy the opposition are welcome here? Sounds like Younis' position, but inverted.
My point still stands. If you want to be different from the Apologists, if you want to be BETTER than the Apologists, you have to treat others BETTER than you have been treated by them.

Oh, I got it. Why else do you think I offered you the chance to be Superman instead of Lex?
And this is a smokescreen. You still haven't answered my questions, which I've asked before and list again below:
1. How does tearing down other fans prove you know more about Superman than the Apologists?
2. How does tearing down other fans get you the Superman movie you want? They didn't make SR.
3. How does tearing down other fans improve the journalistic credibility of this blog?

When did Alexander Luthor behave as you have? I own that trade. Give me the page number. Seems to me that your tactics are more in accord with Commissioner Thomas Wayne's, if we're using the Earth 2 terminology.
"Oh, I got it."
Bull-FUCKING-shit, you lying asshole.
As to the rest?
Who the fuck are YOU that I have to answer ANYTHING you ask? You "think" you are "better" than the people here. Guess what, you fucking pansy, you definitely are NOT.
God, this little queen thinks that just because I ignore his limp-wristed questions, that somehow I am "avoiding" answering. The fucking idiot can't get it thru his thick skull that his questions are moronic and unimportant.
He's kind of like Wimp-Lo:
"I am bleeding, therefore making ME the victor!"

Me? I'm a Superman fan. You have to answer to me because you're one of the showrunners of this blog, which is ostensibly by, of, and for the real Superman fans, to give them the Superman they deserve on the silver screen.
Unless you're really only representing SOME of the fanbase, that is.

Oh, but they ARE important. If this blog is about the fans, then why does it tear down the fanbase? WB and Singer made the movie. We should be mad at THEM, not each other.
Ripping each other apart does not help us accomplish anything. That's what I'm trying to get across to you, and what you refuse to see or even admit.
It's very simple. If you want to be better than the kind of people that the Apologists have been to you, you need to treat others differently than they treated you.
"My point still stands. If you want to be different from the Apologists, if you want to be BETTER than the Apologists, you have to treat others BETTER than you have been treated by them."
Being right about Stalkerman being an absolute abortion of a Superman film makes us better than the Apologists. I can think of precisely one other place other than this where criticizing Singer's crapfest is allowed. Rather than playing Gandhi here, why don't you go back to one of the billions of other forums where "fair and objective" opinions (ie, fawning praise) is all that's allowed.
Incidentally, this isn't a web-based forum and there's no moderation so we can't dictate to other participants what they can and cannot say on the threat of being banned. People can say whatever they want here as long as they've got the sack to take whatever comes back to them. Members can also say whatever they want on the Younis page, Singerhero Hype and numerous other forums as long as they're prepared to be banned for not falling into line with the pro-Stalkerman leadership. People aren't banned here, just verbally lambasted for being morons. Ergo, your analogy is flawed and not worth considering.
thecolorsblend said, "Being right about Stalkerman being an absolute abortion of a Superman film makes us better than the Apologists. I can think of precisely one other place other than this where criticizing Singer's crapfest is allowed."

Which is WHY this place is so important. Everywhere else is about censorship. This blog is about fact.
Compromising your fact-based journalism with unsavory personal attacks is ill-advised. It tears down this blog, and it returns in kind the very thing you founded this blog to escape: persecution.
You know what it's like to be ridiculed, spat upon, and kicked around. Why on earth would you want to make someone ELSE feel that way?
***
thecolorsblend said, "Rather than playing Gandhi here, why don't you go back to one of the billions of other forums where "fair and objective" opinions (ie, fawning praise) is all that's allowed."

I don't want "fawning praise". I want fact, free of yellow journalism and base insults. I want Superman fans to aspire to higher standards, especially those who claim to understand him better than Singer does (which really isn't THAT hard).
***
thecolorsblend said, "Incidentally, this isn't a web-based forum and there's no moderation so we can't dictate to other participants what they can and cannot say on the threat of being banned."

And? Does that mean you, as a Superman fan, give up on the notion that your leadership can stir others? How do you think the comments on this blog would go if you, SSS, AP, and FFE all voiced your displeasure with the intolerant bullshit that so often passes for SR criticism here?
Ridiculing the creator of a work does not discredit the work. Not in a court of law. Not in a formal debate. Not in scientific analysis. The work stands on its own, apart from its creator. Judge it on its own terms, or your logic is flawed.

thecolorsblend said, "People can say whatever they want here as long as they've got the sack to take whatever comes back to them."

Then *I* have the right to stay and voice my own opinion, as well.

thecolorsblend said, "People aren't banned here, just verbally lambasted for being morons. Ergo, your analogy is flawed and not worth considering."

My argument is flawed only if you have no intention of stepping up and being a real leader. Inspiration is a more powerful force than dictation. It always has been.
"How do you think the comments on this blog would go if you, SSS, AP, and FFE all voiced your displeasure with the intolerant bullshit that so often passes for SR criticism here?"
And with THIS, the fucking asshole "came out of the closet" as an APOLOGIST. The sad part? It was OBVIOUS FROM THE BEGINNING.
Hey, you fucking piece of shit 'mo, go the fuck back to the Singerman HomoPage and "splooge" your love for Singerman Peeps with the rest of the Apologist scum. I hear your "leader" is LYING AGAIN about Madame Of Swish. You fucking twinks fall for ANYTHING Eunuch says. Don't you?
Asshair.

How does "Singer is a fag" discredit SR? Honestly now. Yes, he's gay. Very good. Your five senses are in working order.
And how does defending gay people make me an Apologist? If, for the sake of argument, a gay Superman fan hated SR, would you welcome him on this blog? Do you think he would FEEL welcome?
