I'm not surprised really, I told you in the earlier post that Bale's Batman just didn't fit into the world of the JLA, and that most likely they wouldn't want Routh anywhere near it since he could only hurt the film by dragging over Singerman's problems with him.A casting director for the movie will be onboard next week and it's then that they'll be going after their tighted strongmen.
Director George Miller ("Mad Max") has some ideas who he'd like to cast as Batman and Superman but naturally, they mightn't be the same faces the WB want. Either way, doesn't sound like Christian Bale or Brandon Routh will be involved in the film. I assume that's a financial thing.
(Update : We have been informed by another source at Warner Bros that it will be an all-new cast and that Bale and Routh will NOT be back.)
So within the next month we should start seeing a few announcements about the movie.
Not surprisingly, IESB does a follow up to this report (completely ignoring their prior "Singerman II is coming come hell to high water!" stance BTW) and add this bit (take it for what it's worth):
They also have a really brief interview with Bale from today's 3:10 to Yuma press junket where they surprisingly didn't swear at him. Then again , he probably would've kicked their asses if they did."Let me clear some confusion, Batman and Superman are the central characters of the Justice League film that will now be played by different actors.
WB is looking for a complete new cast for the multi-hero team up and that casting will begin as early as next week.
The IESB has been told that early meetings have already taken place for certain key roles and to expect announcements very soon. Just in case there was any doubt, George Miller is 100% locked in as the director.
Once again, the confirmed heroes are Superman, Batman, the Flash, Aquaman, Wonder Woman and the Green Lantern.
We are working on a couple of leads that are indicating what actors may be up for a couple key roles.
Is this the death knell for Singerman? Or is it just delaying it? In our opinion here, the whole reason this film is being fast-tracked for Summer 2009 is to fill Singerman's slot because WB doesn't have the confidence in it. We'll stick around until we hear the official announcement and see Singerman's bloated corpse. Stay tuned.

Great news. This has to be the final nail in Singer's coffin.
Singer's just too busy injuring actors on the shoot of his latest gayfest.
LOL I read that. Like 15 extras got hurt on the Valkyrie set because someone didnt tighten a nut on a support rail on a truck. Funny, I thought Singer was an expert on nuts.
Ya know, you dream of this moment, you hope that it will live up to your expectations, but when you find that Singerman is basically dead, buried and forgotten, it's just so much better than you could've ever hoped.
I *KNOW* I'm not the only one who feels this way.
"I *KNOW* I'm not the only one who feels this way."
You got that right.
The forums are starting to light up...and I'm surprised at the positive take over at SupermanHomepage...although Younis STILL hasn't posted the news yet.
He must be too busy crying his eyes out over his autographed picture of Routh($20.00 from Routh himself)
I guess those autographs might be worth something now, being rarities. Like an autograph of the guy who played Superman on the stage, or in the TV musical...You know those other forgotten failures!
Brandon Routh = George Lazenby
"I'm surprised at the positive take over at SupermanHomepage"
I spoke too soon. The apologists have woken up to the fact that Singer's return may not occur and all they can say is "JLA sounds like a terrible idea"
They can't justify as to why though...and would prefer a Returns sequel.
God Younis you should be FUCKIN ashamed of yourself for leading members of your site on, but serve you fuckin right for selling out and backing the wrong horse
"Brandon Routh = George Lazenby"
Yeah, but people still remember Lazenby nearly 40 years later. He wasn't a great Bond, but folk do remember him, and OHMSS actually made a nice profit and is one of the most popular Bonds on sell through apparently.
Who the fuck is Brandon Routh???
One year later and he's become the invisible man.
"The apologists have woken up to the fact that Singer's return may not occur "
Check it out. They think The Flash and Flash Gordon are the same character! Priceless
I hope they cast Tom Welling now finally ! and if the script requires an older Batman get Michael Keaton to return. That would make millions such as myself very happy !
"I hope they cast Tom Welling now finally ! and if the script requires an older Batman get Michael Keaton to return. That would make millions such as myself very happy !"
They could certainly do worse than that suggestion, we'll have to wait and see. Although the threat of Routh returning seems to be over
...and don't the sheep at Younis's site hate it!
Except for Bizzaro Ken. What a guy, fighting for the right....is he AP?
As AWESOME as this really is, and as much as I hate to be the one to point out the potentially negative aspect here.....
What exactly does this REALLY mean in relation to the current Batman and Superman franchises? Will Brandon Routh ever get another outing? Will Christian Bale get his trilogy? It’s hard to say at this point.
The WB is notorious for putting restrictions on how these characters are portrayed in various media. When Erica Durance started appearing regularly on Smallville, Bruce Timm’s Justice League cartoon was not allowed to use her anymore. The creators of Smallville wanted a young Bruce Wayne to appear on their show during season 5, but when Batman Begins started production the powers that be told them they couldn’t use him. I’m surprised that now they would have three franchises running with two lead characters that have different actors for their respective films. Ideally, we want Routh gone forever...but I still want my trilogy of Christian Bale as Batman.
Worst case scenario; Christian Bale’s Batman ends at two, and Routh never gets another outing. Best case scenario; three films for Bale, and none for Routh. Or maybe they’ll both get three yet.
Time will tell.
"Except for Bizzaro Ken. What a guy, fighting for the right....is he AP?"
LOL, afraid not. Wouldn't be caught DEAD at SingerSuckerHomepage. But invite the guy over, I'd like to "shake" his "hand".
And anyone fearing for Bale's Batman, save it. TDK will gross $350 million domestic. Watch and see. His wearing the cowl for three is a lock.
Anyone miss REtard yet? I know I don't. Too easy to kick his ignorant ass around. Oh yeah, if he was an "insider", he would have KNOWN this, wouldn't he??
You Apologist cunts were bitch-slapped by REALITY. Feel kinda COLD, don't it?
I want you to be right AP. You have no...I take that back...you know EXACTLY how much I want you to be absolutely 100% correct.
Call me a pessimist...call me silly even...but I've got to actually hear the higher ups officially state once and for all that Singerman is dead, and that Batman is forever.
Really though, don't let my shrewdness rain on anyone's parade here. Right now, all evidence suggests that we've won! REJOICE! I'm probably just being to cautious.
With rumors of a JLA movie heating up, [Ryan Reynolds]the comic fan has indicated that things are heating up to both MTV and IGN. He's also made it clear he's ready to don the red tights for the JLA movie...
http://www.mania.com/
Singer is a FAG and Superman Returns was gay.
Bizarro Ken just told me on Younis' site (the Reynolds thing comment section) that he checks out this site already. So he's here. He walks among us.
Well that cinches it. Only one more thing to prove there IS a God and that would be the announcement of Tom Welling cast as Supes. Pray with me my brothers. Pray hard. Bleed if you have to. Burn your copy of Singerman in effigy. Sacrifice a chicken. Do something!
"You're way off base, you're goading people, you're antagonizing, and you're spreading false information. You're done on this thread, and consider this a final warning pending a ban if you don't stop trolling." Neal Bailey
"With respect, hang on a minute. You show me where Warners have confirmed the sequel being in production and I'll apologise. Being an employee of Fox Studios I can assure you the sets in Sydney were trashed recently because "there isn't going to be a sequel"
Believe it or don't, but I'm prepared to stand behind my claims. If you were a news site you should give me a call, there's more I'd like to substantiate.............
As for bullying, etc I notice I got called into line, yet I was called a child, stupid etc..." Bizzaro Ken
Worth checking out because he looks like he's about to be banned.
Good on the guy, Younis and Bailey, the hacks that they are are fuckin useless...They claim to know a Singer sequel is in production!
If he gets banned, I'm probably not far behind because I'm saying the same basic stuff. On the other hand, the Younis site is so full of (A) people bought off by Singer and/or (B) blind Singerman-lovers that I'm starting to think a ban under these circumstances is a badge of honor.
It's upsetting about Bailey though. I figured he was a good guy and could make some overture towards impartiality but more and more he's coming off like just another cronie. Sad.
Younis & Singer-Good Cop/Bad Cop
Bailey sold out too
Don't worry about being banned, there's something called a proxy server.........It's hard for them to swallow the harsh reality being so far up Singer's ass, but I'll continue to point out the truth.
They're hiding to nothing anyway. If I'm wrong, which I'm not, I can simply use a proxy server and change my name.
If they're wrong that site loses any remaining credibility it has. And that's not much!
"Ken"
btw, there will be no sequel It's the worst kept secret in Hollywood....and can I tell you some stories!
colors, how's that spaceworlds guy!!! I like how he can say what he wants because it fits the line that Bailey believes in.
"btw, there will be no sequel It's the worst kept secret in Hollywood....and can I tell you some stories!"
I should add here as to why this is so amusing for me. I'm in Sydney and have met Steve Younis, but the idiot hasn't clicked who I am.
Sorry, that should read "Steve Younis has met me" The otherway sounds like I wanted to meet him.......
...and to be fair Younis is well meaning but just naive to ridiculous lengths.
Bailey on the other hand is just nuts. How they cast Heath Ledger over Neal Bailey as the Joker, God only knows. It's probably a SAG thing. Ledger would have to ACT, whereas Bailey would be playing himself!
"I hope they cast Tom Welling now finally ! and if the script requires an older Batman get Michael Keaton to return. That would make millions such as myself very happy !"
They almost have to get him in the role! I mean the biggest uproar in the whole Singerman debacle was because they didn't cast Welling!
I think they should use the JLA from Smallville, and springboard that into the new JLA movie.
Besides the WB looks like have been planting this seed if you notice they also are now going to bring in Kara into Smallville, and from what I heard might continue the show after Clark leaves after season 7 or 8, and have her running the farm, and living on Smallville, and do like a Supergirl tv show.
This would free up the actors so they could do the JLA movie!
Tom Welling is by far the face of Superman for this Generation, and to never see him on the big screen with the suit, and the big old \S/ on his chest is a crime to fans world wide!
Trust me put him in the movie as Superman in the suit, and the movie will more then double SR box office totals!
This is what we all have wanted to see all along after all!!
So I say please wb! Sign Welling for the new JLA movie!!!
Welling really seems to have his supporters. I'd be more than happy to see him on the big screen. Even if only to piss off the Homepage sheep!
Here's my problem with Welling...he's too much of a boy. Welling is a perfect young Clark Kent, but he's too baby faced for Superman.
This is probably the best manip of him as supes I've ever seen:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v299/Sepharih/quickmanipkc4.png
But he still lacks a maturity which the character really should have.
Having said all that, I wouldn't put up too much of a fuss if Welling actually got the part. The lack of maturity I cited in Welling's case applies to Routh also, and Welling would kick his ass any day of the week (and come to think of it, he does). He may lack maturity, but at least he does have charisma.
Some fair points, sepharih
The thing with Welling as Clark is that he is playing an 18 year old, and sometimes probably tries too hard. Recently his character has been more proactive and I think given the opportunity he could very well pull off an adult Superman the likes of which we haven't seen since Reeve.
btw, I'm not comparing Welling to Reeve, but it'd also be nice having Reeve virtually pass the torch via Smallville anyway. I may be corny, but I think it was a nice touch
Eh...maybe...I don't know. Like I said though, given the choice, I'll take Welling over Routh any day. That's not a contest.
I do know what you mean about the passing of the torch though, and I totally get it. In fact, I've often mused on how awesome it would have been if, in Batman Begins, they had gotten Kevin Conroy to play Thomas Wayne. Oh well...
I'm with you man, Welling vs Routh, I'll take Welling everytime.
Conroy should be recognised for his great work on Batman, sure.
I read somewhere that Adam West wanted Robert Lowery (the previous Batman from the movie serial) to play Thomas Wayne in the TV series!
What all of you do not realize is A) this site for over a year has predicted this project was dead and it is not.
B) would warner ruin their "tent-pole" movies with JLA?
C) WB could just roll up singer and roth in one package with the JLA movie. That would be the best.
D) If you read further into the article it says Singer is still attached to the sequel. Why would WB say this if it was not true?
My guess is that even though this reputable site (snicker) thinks that WB would walk away from a profitable frachise they are wrong.......Making Singer for
JLA or Superman in 2009!
rEstart
That would rock! Just like X2 he will ramp it up more. Now will come the insults since losers like you can not debate logic like mine. Personally I love how AP calls everyone sissy boy etc. I just goes to show that most of the mental giants on this site are still jaking off to that home wrecking Clark from Smallville. Love how he lays the mack down on Lana on her wedding day.
Making Singer for
JLA or Superman in 2009!
What a fuckin joke
You're irrelevant. Miller IS directing and Routh is out
There will be one film with Superman in 2009 and it'll be Justice League
It's a no win for a Singer sequel anyway. If JLA does well, they'd follow up with that Superman, Singer's failed version won't be required.
If JLA flops, it's game over for Superman
Retard, you lost ages ago, Go away or get with reality
"B) would warner ruin their "tent-pole" movies with JLA?"
Singer already ruined one of their tent pole movies. Get with it. Warners have said they were disappointed with Superman Returns. Fact.
Thank goodness for Nolan & Miller
Oh and let me spoil the next season of smallville for you.
Lex - "I am evil, but will show nice guy tendency as well"
Clark - "I love lana...but can't love her...so must push her away...and make out with her when she gets too far"
Lana - "Er Duh Clark is hiding something wonder what is it? Does he love me or not"
Cloe - "I am a hot chick that Clark wont bang. He must be gay."
L. Luther - "I am evil incarante. No I am not...yes I am...."
Singer for JLA and Superman in 2009!
REstart
Routh is out? Sure he is. Until i see the casting sheet all this site post are rumors.
Priceless, just priceless
Not so much apologists anymore but "denialists"
What da hell? Did the site just got hacked or something?
There's something else you guys aren't taking into consideration in all your excitement, and that's Warner's inconsistency in the way it handles and presents it's various superhero franchises.
For all the hell you know, the JLA movie might be a fleshed out "Superfriends" themed farce.(A joke assholes)
Even if it's not, the thing is the JLA movie will be rooted in and framed in a continuity all it's own apart from the Bale Batman and Routh Superman.
So they pick another guy to play Batman for the Justice League, does that mean Bale won't be doing anymore Batman films. Hell no, he's finishing up on Dark Knight now.
Likewise, as much as I'd like to sound the death knell for Singer, NONE of this stuff, not even the extended delay, means and end to Singer, Routh, and his fucked up Superman sequel waiting in the wings.
The reality is, everything regarding Singer and the sequel is very likely going just the way Warner has claimed. They're just pushing the JLA ahead hoping to spring a bonanza of profitable spin off super hero films in an effort to catch up with Marvel. Yeah, Superman needs rejuvenated, but Warner very well may be thinking it's the Singer/Routh Superman they want to rejuvenate. It's not logical thinking having another actor playing Superman in a different venue, and expect it to boost Singer's Superman, but Warner thinks that way.
Unbelievable as it may sound, they may still have faith in a "Donner" Superman.
It doesn't mean after Singer is through playing with Cruise and whatever else he's fucking around with, that he won't come back to film the Man of Steel with Routh.
Yeah, this shit sucks to hear, but if you don't stay open to this very real possibility you're not being smart. Hollywood is a fucked up place and the sooner you realize that the better.
Warner has a history of thinking this way and making these kinds of executive nods to decisions we as fans and movie goers think is absolute Bullshit. Films have been known to be delayed, only to debut a year behind schedule.
Warner execs aren't predictable.
Its best to wait for official word. Hope and discuss all you want, but don't go firing guns in the air and swigging booze in celebration until you get that word.
I hate Singerman as much as you do, but I've been through this before.
Come on, isn't it obvious what a certain ladyboy is doing now? The moron KNOWS it's over, so "he" is going to come here to get a reaction. NOTHING MORE.
Just ignore the fucking pussy-fart from now on. We ALREADY WON. Nothing to "debate" with this fuckwad anymore. And I LOVE how he uses MY insults, then couldn't even SPELL his own CORRECTLY.
Fuck you, Apologist bitches! Go suckle at Younis' teat, he'll "protect" you from the REAL WORLD....
"Superman needs rejuvenated, but Warner very well may be thinking it's the Singer/Routh Superman they want to rejuvenate."
Not a chance. Go ahead and bury your head in the sand, expecting the worst. WB is NOT going to make another Singerman film. PERIOD.
Go back to BlueNuts and talk about what a "mistake" the JLA film is, and how they can STILL make the Madam Of Swish sequel. You aren't fooling ANYONE.
Welling, YES. Erica Durance as Lois, HELL NO!!!!!!
Regardless of what some sites speculate, the day that JLA is announced is the day that Singer will get his cheque and leave the WB lot for good. Bank on it!
They won't and they can't make a sequel if JLA really gets the summer spot in 2009! No way in hell will there be a Superman movie in another season than summer.
And 2010 = final Harry Potter movie, so the earliest date for "Singerman 2" would be summer 2011, and by then everyone on this planet will have forgotten that there ever was a "Singerman 1" and also the impact of JLA and all the Marvel movies that come within the next years would bury any kind of buzz for such a useless sequel anyway.
Despite the success of "Smallville", Superman is pretty much dead and WB know they have to act now or never to get their "B list heroes" to the big screen. You can deny it all you want, other than us fanboys no one actually knows or cares for any other characters in a single movie than Supes or Bats. It's the only way to go and dodge another "Catwoman" debacle. Even if the JLA movie is stupid like X3, it's gonna bring in big money and get the names of the "unknowns" out there.
Single movies are possible AFTER WB knows how the request for each of the characters actually looks like.
Today it's between zero and none. The JLA movie could change that significantly ... or destroy it for good.
We'll see.
God what a bunch a fuck stick assholes.
I bet none of you have had a piece of ass in your life, you'd shit shit yourself if you saw a puss.
You're ALL pathetic!
Clint from Moviehole has confirmed and expanded on the news Robert Sanchez brought to us yesterday that Christian Bale will not be part of any JLA movie from Warner Bros. In fact, both Brandon Routh and Christian Bale will not be reprising their roles in the coming adaptation of the JUSTICE LEAGUE film. Casting will begin as early as next week for the film which Warner Bros wants in theaters by Summer 2009. The roles of Batman & Superman are both central to the story of the film and they will be recast.
As far as the other characters appearing in the film, these are the current confirmed characters; Superman, Batman, the Flash, Aquaman, Wonder Woman and the Green Lantern.
More may appear by the time of final cut (George Miller is directing the adaptation.) but the characters named above are "confirmed". As I said, casting will begin over the next few weeks and there are rumors that some key roles are already filled..The Ryan Reynolds rumor as "Flash" may be one of them.
JUSTICE LEAGUE will hit theaters for Warner Bros around Summer 2009.
http://www.mania.com/55797.html
"JUSTICE LEAGUE will hit theaters for Warner Bros around Summer 2009."
Proving once again that...
Superman (the *real* thing, this time) flies in 2009 in JLA!
Sorry, couldn't resist.
So I posted this at the Homepage and I figured I would post it here...
"HollywoodChicago.com also claims that the budget for The Dark Knight is not the reported $150 million but rather "well in excess of $200 million.""
This could be the reason that they are willing to do the JLA regardless of the other franchises. If a JLA movie can be done for the same price as the other 2 franchises then it would make sense to go with the one movie with everyone in it. This is going to be the make it or break it movie for the Batman Franchise if this is true.
you would think WB's would learn their lesson when it comes to sky rocketing budgets for their superhero movies.
You guys seen this the plot thickens from SHH
"Justice League to be a CGI/Motion Capture Film!?
Source: IESB.net August 22, 2007
One of the most talked-about topics online these days is Warner Bros.' Justice League of America adaptation, which Happy Feet director George Miller is reportedly attached to.
Reports have said that the superhero team-up movie would include Batman, Superman, The Flash, Aquaman, Wonder Woman and the Green Lantern, that casting would start next week, and that Christian Bale (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight) and Brandon Routh (Superman, Superman: Man of Steel) would not be involved.
It didn't quite make sense how Warner Bros. would be able to pull it off, but perhaps now we know how they can. IESB.net says that the movie might be a CGI/performance capture project, much like The Polar Express, and the upcoming Beowulf and Avatar. Here's a bit of the scoop the site received:
However, and take this with a grain of salt, Imageworks are apparently in the running to provide services on the JLA film, competing with R&H and possibly WETA (the latter being unconfirmed).
But the real interesting thing about this is that the contract is for an all-cgi "photo-real" motion capture movie, much like the upcoming Beowulf.
If the reports hold up, expect Justice League of America to go into production early 2008."
WB needs to come out and make a statement soon as to what the fuck is going on.
"God what a bunch a fuck stick assholes.
I bet none of you have had a piece of ass in your life, you'd shit shit yourself if you saw a puss.
You're ALL pathetic!"
Hey, Apologist shit-stain, your MOM counts, so we've ALL had a "piece of ass". That stank 'ho gives it up to anything on 2 OR 4 legs.
Fucking pathetic, isn't it? The Apologist fuckwits LOSE, and THIS is the best they can do? Jesus, no wonder they are each others "best friends". No one else would have fuck-all to do with them...
"WB needs to come out and make a statement soon as to what the fuck is going on."
Be patient. I'm sure this was "one of many" ideas they had, and this "news" is probably a bit dated.
WOULD WB do this type of film? I wouldn't put anything past them, they DID "greenlit" Singerman Peeps. WILL they? That I'm not so sure of.
I wouldn't be surprised if they "leaked" this themselves, just to gauge reaction to this type of JLA film.
I hope this isn't true. Go live action or get out.
"I hope this isn't true. Go live action or get out."
Does not make much sense. I mean why would WB have a JL movie that is not live action take the place of Singerman 2 on the schedule for 2009? An animated JL movie is not going to get going other franchises like Green Lantern, only a live action movie done well can do that.
I seriously doubt it will be cgi since they are not including the Manhunter character.
I'm a huge Batman/Superman fan. I don't see why there is so much backlash against using Batman in this movie. He is the true leader of the JL, with Superman being the public leader. I believe that the DC comics properties are the WB's biggest properties and should be taken very seriously, more so than Harry Potter or the Matrix trilogy. There have been many great writers and artists that have covered the DC comics characters. Is their artistic contributions as great as Tolkein and the LOTR? I don't know, but I believe this is the WB's opportunity to make a really great epic. I don't feel this should be a one shot 2 hour movie. WB should put in the finances and resources into making this their signature epic. Take the source material seriously. Treat it with respect. They have shown they know how to make a great comic book movie with BB and S:TM, until they got in Donner's way.
In regards to Batman/Bale being in the movie. I love Bale's portrayal of Batman just as much as everyone and I believe that "style" of Batman can fit into the JL whether Bale is playing him or not. As great as an actor Bale is, he is not the world's greatest actor and I'm sure there is someone else who can put on cowl/mask/headpiece and act just as "gritty". I have to believe there won't be too many scenes of the characters out of costume anyway. Also, Chris Nolan doesn't own the Batman character. He's done a great job with him, but his is just another vision of the character since its inception. But, Batman can be taken seriously in a JL movie. Batman doesn't have to be in the fights with the super powered heroes and villians, but leading the team from the background, giving them battle plans, and financing the League through Wayne Enterprises. Very little screen time is needed for Batman.
In regards to Superman/Routh. I was never a big fan of Routh as Superman or Superman Returns. I'd prefer Tom Welling be given a chance to see how he could portray the character. He has played Clark Kent longer than any other actor I believe. I think his "optimistic farmboy" would play well against a "cynical Batman". Just finally have Welling act his true age instead of the teenager he has portrayed in Smallville and Cheaper by the Dozen. my question however would be, is he the kind of actor that could hold his own with other more experienced actors say they get Bale and by default Michael Caine in such a big budget movie. Can he be believed as an iconic hero.
the only other characters I would include would be GL (Guy Gardner for more grittiness), Flash (Barry Allen), and WW, however if they did the epic triology, there would be ample time for the league to grow over the trilogy (Green Arrow, sparked by Batman's example, MM, to help with the alien threat). I believe that they should treat it like LOTR, with the epic battles, epic landscapes, and epic storytelling. Darkseid would have to be the main "villian", manipulating Luthor on Earth, and bringing together other major villians as the epic trilogy goes on, ie: Sinestro, Braniac, Doomsday. Other than Luthor you don't need any other earth bound villians except for maybe a Luthor manipulated Solomon Grundy and Captain Cold. the final battle would be of course Superman and Darkseid.
I must say that I was never a big LOTR fan, I could never get over the walking/talking trees, but I know that it was great quality work and if the WB treats the JL the same way, it would be a truly epic trilogy.
"Darkseid would have to be the main "villian""
Nope, it's Maxwell Lord and the OMACS. Which will be fine with me.
CHUD basically explains why IESB is confused yet again.
http://www.chud.com/index.php?type=news&id=11539
Good find
I like the alternative title to that article
"Brandon Routh Can't Catch A Break"
Younis & co are obviously scaremongering all they can about JLA being animated or just plain bad so the sheep will get behind MOS
Good luck with that you fuckers!
This update from moviehole.
"Is Justice League a CGI film?
Date : August 23, 2007 Posted By : Clint Morris
Yesterday we reported that Brandon Routh and Christian Bale had not been asked back to play Superman and Batman, respectively, in the new "Justice League" movie.
We recieved an email this morning from an insider who might be able to back up the actors' no-show in this one - seems the film (and it would make sense considering George Miller is the director) might be CGI.
Take this with a grain of salt for the meantime, but it's a definite possibility.
Take this with a grain of salt, this is "friend of a friend" stuff from Sony Imageworks, so there's a chance it's not true, but it's looking likely.
Apparently, the new JLA film won\'t be live action...why the need to cast actors then you ask? Because it's going to be a cgi film that utilises motion capture technology to create a "photo-real" animated film, much like the upcoming Beowulf.
Given Millers recent history with cgi animation (Happy Feet) Imageworks previous working relationship with Warner Brothers and DC Properties (Superman Returns) I would say that this is safe bet to be true. It's also interesting to note that the JLA rumours and speculation really went up a gear after the release of the Beowulf trailer.
What it means of course is that Miller can cast actors rather than faces to play these roles which will then be transferred to a cg environment using the latest motion capture technology.
More news as I get it,
Jawa Juice
We then recieved a second email from 'Jawa Juice', stating :
I must correct an error in my previous mail...Imageworks aren't necessarily doing the effects for the mo-cap cgi JLA movie...they're still in negotiations. I've been told that there are a few effects houses bidding for the contract (R&H and possibly WETA, though the latter is unconfirmed).
Whoever gets the jobs, it may mean that JLA could be pushed back to late 2009, or even 2010...this is speculation on my part, but cgi-films take a long time to do and photo-real mo-cap is still a pretty new technology.
Sorry, for the error, I'll try to give you an update once I get back to the States."
Like i said before WB better get their ass in gear and say something. They don't have to say Singer is an idiot and we fired him just confirm one way or another if this JL movie is happening and in what format.
"They don't have to say Singer is an idiot and we fired him just confirm one way or another if this JL movie is happening and in what format."
Couldn't agree more.
I want Singer gone asap, and it'd be only fair to destroy the fantasy that Younis tries to display that he still might return. There's posters over there clinging to the dream of MOS.
Best put them out of their misery and soon and move on
^^
The format this is will be in is crucial. If WB does this in CGI and not live action unfortunately that means they see Singerman 2 as an option still. Doing a live action JLA with a new Superman would be the kiss of death to Singer and especially Routh. If this is CGI though the door for Singerman 2 is still open. Lets hope this is live action and they can bury Routh and Singer for good right now.
Read the CHUD report. They got it down.
Why would WB "rush" a JLA film into production, just to have to wait 2-3 years to release it? The OMACS will be mo-cap. That's it.
Remember, IESB is ALSO a BS shill. They will do what they think is in their "master's" best interest. When the JLA film is ready to come out, and WB offers them "exclusives", they'll suck Miller's nuts too.
Ding-dong, the Singerman's dead....
"Why would WB "rush" a JLA film into production, just to have to wait 2-3 years to release it?"
Not saying this is the reason, but a lot of studios are rushing projects into development before the writers strike. So they may be trying to get everything locked and loaded in case something like that happens.
I agree that a full CGI JLA doesn't make much sense because of the time involved, but with the reported 200 million dollar budget of The Dark Knight maybe Warners just wants to do it as cheaply as possible.
"I agree that a full CGI JLA doesn't make much sense because of the time involved, but with the reported 200 million dollar budget of The Dark Knight maybe Warners just wants to do it as cheaply as possible."
Once more, the OMACS ONLY will be mo-cap. Don't go falling for the Younis-inspired paranoia being spread.
WB needs a 2009 "tentpole" picture. A COMPLETELY mo-cap JLA film would take until 2010 at the earliest. Make sense to YOU?
Come on, you guys are smarter than this. Stop playing the "Yeah, but..." game. That's what Apologists do.
"I agree that a full CGI JLA doesn't make much sense because of the time involved, but with the reported 200 million dollar budget of The Dark Knight maybe Warners just wants to do it as cheaply as possible."
CG animation is in no way a cheaper (or less time-consuming) alternative than plain ol' live action. I would believe that the OMACs can and should be mo-capped, but that's a far far FAR cry from doing the whole son of a bitch as a mo-cap film. For logistical reasons alone, it ain't gonna happen.
"CG animation is in no way a cheaper (or less time-consuming) alternative than plain ol' live action."
Actually, believe it or not, it is. Cheaper at least. People have this idea in their head that all this money goes into the visual effects, but it doesn’t. Logic suggests that shooting it live action is cheaper, but when you consider the cost of scouting, building and maintaining sets, paying for the ability to shoot for a very specific time frame, transportation, and the actor’s salaries it all adds up pretty quick.
This is actually one of the biggest controversies surrounding CGI, because we have actually reached a point now where it’s just cheaper to do it digitally in many cases, and it’s especially noticeable in the current trend of green screen movies.
Take a film like 300 which only cost 65 million to produce...in comparison to behemoth budget of Troy at 175 million. Another example would be Sin City which, with all its greenscreen work, only cost a measly 40 million to produce. Now with all the extra motion capture and animation work involved in a film like this the costs are going to be significantly higher, but they’ll still be able to get more for less.
As for whether or not this will actually be the case...I’m going to wait and hear the official announcement. I’m not entirely sure how I feel about this idea yet anyway.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA - CGI. So much for the GLA movie. Crash and burn baby. HAHAHAHAHAHHA....The only live action we should push for is ....
Man of steel in 2009!
Restart
I love to see the whiners on this site squirm. Oh its great. Now i understand while Supes is still on the fast track. CGI indeed. Smell that its the smell of JLA movie dying....no wonder Routh and Bale aint attached I would run from this loser pic too!
Well since JLA is a cartoon slated for 2010, I think everyone on this site will realize there is no stopping the sequel of returns! So be prepared to buy your ticket for........................
Superman in 2009!

I had to post twice laugh so hard at you idiots. This site and all of its posturing has just confirmed what we heard at Comic Con that it was a new JLA project possible a cartoon. Your kids can shell out the $10 bucks for the cartoon. I will be watching Returns sequel. THis site and all the posters just got owned! hahahahahahaha

Yes SSS just got owned! CGI. hahahahahahaha......That is why.

I love being so right!
I see no one with a brain has posted overnight. At least we know the Apologist cunts have pretty much "wised up" to the fact that there is NOT going to be a Singerman sequel, and have chosen to hide at SingerSuckerHomePage, or BlueNuts.
See, over at THOSE sites, they ALL can't spell, so it's common-place. Here, it's easy to spot the Apologist shitbirds. They're the ones with MAJOR illiteracy problems. Unable to use proper grammar or even punctuation!
"We are the champions, douche-bags... And we kept on fighting, to the ennnnd... WE are the champions! We are the champions! No time for LOSERS, 'cuz we are the champions, of the wooorrrlllddd!!!"
You know, that inspired me to post the entire song, just for the Apologist jock-strap residue:
"I've paid my dues -
Time after time -
I've done my punching
But committed no crime -
And bad mistakes
BS made a few
I've done my share of sand kicked in their face -
But I've come through
We are the champions - my friends
And we kept on fighting - till the end -
We are the champions -
We are the champions
No time for LOSERS
'Cause we are the champions - of the world -
I've taken my bows
And my curtain calls -
You brought me fame and notoriety and everything that goes with it
-
I thank you all -
But it's been no bed of roses
No pleasure cruise -
I consider it a challenge before the whole human race -
And I ain't gonna lose -
We are the champions - my friends
And we'll keep on fighting - till the end -
We are the champions -
We are the champions
No time for losers
'Cause we are the champions - of the world -"

You lying piece of shit. You stated in the last post in the comments section that you thought Singer would be offered the chance to direct (which was hysterical). Then you made the claim that the studio denied involvement; and were subsequently owned yourself not long after. Now you're trying to claim that you knew all along it would be CGI?
You are an idiotic twit who has been proven wrong at almost every single turn in this development. Nothing that happens in concern to the JLA or Singerman film will ever change that. The studio hasn't even confirmed yet that it will be mocap. Now shut the hell up.
If the IESB report is right about casting next week then all this speculation about what format it will be in will be over very shortly.

First off, who are you responding to? No one has posted since last night, as far as I can see?
But let me assure you of something: Whoever it is you are responding to is NO DOUBT gathering lies and rumors from other "forums" that are "friendly" to Apologists. You know, SingerSuckerHomePage, BlueNuts and SingerHomoHype. A virtual-world "Axis of Evil". This shit-nugget is then throwing them out there as HIS OWN "knowledge", minus of course the "knowledge". ALL just to get a reaction.
The simple thing to do is KNOW you are above this "person", and that Singerman was dead and buried a LONG time ago.
Since BS WON'T be going "all Wrath of Kahn" on a Singerman sequel, I expect Miller to go "all Road Warrior" on the LIVE ACTION JLA film....
"Regardless of what some sites speculate, the day that JLA is announced is the day that Singer will get his cheque and leave the WB lot for good. Bank on it!"
Yeah, I agree. If the movie is not CGI, then it would be bad for Singer to not have a sequel for SR in three years. If a movie really did well, movie studios don't wait longer than three years to make a sequel. Especially since Singer left several untied story lines open only to resolve them five years later? No, if Man of Steel doesn't start production in the next year then it's not going to get made.
That's really a shame because I was hoping to see who's privacy the super peeping -tom was going to violate next.

*Sigh*..... It's NOT going to be made.
I'm essentially agreeing with you apologistpuncher. However, like some have said, I think it'll be official when the JLA movie is officially announced.
"I'm essentially agreeing with you apologistpuncher. However, like some have said, I think it'll be official when the JLA movie is officially announced."
Still no reason to keep going with the: "if" this, and "if" that. JLA is HAPPENING, Singerman: Madame Of Swish is NOT. All you are doing by DOUBTING, is fueling the Apologist "hope", and their attempts at denying reality.
Unless your goal is to welcome their ignorant, badly spelled gibberish here?

Even if the movie was mocap this is still bad news for Singerman for the simple fact that it is being planned for 2009 and I seriously doubt that the WB are going to want to have two big Superman projects in theaters at the same time.
So it turns out Singer’s producer for his Milkman/Brokeback Politician was right and the anonymous source who called their quotes horse shit was wrong.
So it turns out Singer’s producer for his Milkman/Brokeback Politician was right and the anonymous source who called their quotes horse shit was wrong."
Uhhh..No..The producer said he would be doing Milkman before Superman, he said nothing about any JLA or Superman Man of Steel being shelved.
This could be a bad movie i fear though. I want a live action JL movie to happen but all the articles say WB is in a rush because of the impending strike. For a film of this size rushing it is not a good thing.

Maybe if they rush it through, they won't have time to think on how to mess it up like they did with so many of thier other
superhero flicks.
What's going on here??
Retard posts his usual incorrect gibberish, then AP says nobody has posted overnight??
The producer said he would be doing Milkman before Superman, he said nothing about any JLA or Superman Man of Steel being shelved.
^^^
Singerman 2 had been shelved and Routh is done.
If Bay can put out a 300 million dollar grossing Transformers film on a 150 million dollar budget than anything can happen.
Poor Routh though, the guy is like begging to be in this film while Bale has flatout said Hell no.
If any of you are in LA make sure to say hi to Routh behind the bar while he pours your drinks.
"Retard posts his usual incorrect gibberish, then AP says nobody has posted overnight??"
You're right on BOTH accounts.
THINK about it....
"If any of you are in LA make sure to say hi to Routh behind the bar while he pours your drinks."
I'll do that. AND, I'll try to stifle my laughter. Not too hard though, as Brandon wouldn't say two words to me, even if I WAS laughing at him.
"Superman"? I think not...
Routh will be like Dirk Diggler in Boogie Nights getting paid to wack off in other men's trucks
I REALLY hope I come across Brandon "My Career Went" Routh one day soon.
A conversation he won't soon forget, BELIEVE that....
The reason i post overnight now is that I have moved to france. At least here they appreciate Superman unlike this site. AP your song moved me....well at least my bowels. Your multiple post prove that you know its.......
Superman in 2009!
REsstart
AP your right! I did post that JLA would benefit from Singer, but things started to fall into place when Bale and Routh bowed out. My sources confirmed the format. Dam its great to see this site squirm. SSS is hiding know that I have once again owned this site and his ass. How does it feel SSS to be wrong! hahahahahaha
"but things started to fall into place when Bale and Routh bowed out"
What's this? I thought I saw an IESB video a few weeks ago where Routh all but begged to be in JLA. Now he "bowed out"? I think "got kicked out" might be a bit more accurate.
So, I guess people are done posting for the night?
Well, I can go to bed SECURE in the knowledge that the LIVE ACTION JLA film has OFFICIALLY put to bed the Singerman franchise. Now, it'll just be a few months of Apologist LIES, and slander. But even these brain-dead cum-puppets KNOW it's over. Singerman will peep NO MORE!
It feels good to be able to mock and scorn these ignorant wretches. I mean, one minute they're "in the industry", next thing you know they'll say they moved to "France" or somewhere their "lifestyle" is encouraged. I hear salad-tossing is a SERIOUS matter there.....
Here's another dedication to the Apologist pubes out there! Since they dig on the "alternate lifestyles", we'll continue with Freddie Mercury and Queen:
"Buddy youre a boy make a big noise
Playin in BS' sheets gonna be a big man some day..
You got butt on yo' face
You big disgrace
Lickin BS ass all over the place..
We will-we will punch you!
We will-we will punch you!
Buddy youre a young man hard man
Slurpin' in the sheets gonna take in the turds some day
You got butt on yo face
You big disgrace
Wavin BS' boner all over your face...
We will-we will punch you!
We will-we will punch you!
Buddy youre an old man, whore man
Pleadin with your eyes gonna make you some peace some day
You got butt on your face
You big disgrace
Somebody ALREADY put you ina' your place!
We will we will punch you!
We will we will punch you!"
"Routh all but begged to be in JLA. Now he 'bowed out?' I think 'got kicked out' might be a bit more accurate."
You'd think he'd be used to that by now?
"You're right on BOTH accounts.
THINK about it...."
LOL! I wondered that actually!
"I did post that JLA would benefit from Singer, but things started to fall into place when Bale and Routh bowed out."
Routh must do a lot of bowing out of projects. He's still got his diary WIIIDE open I see.
Retard, you got it wrong yet again. What a surprise
"The reason i post overnight now is that I have moved to france."
Poor France, invaded by Nazis in WW2 now invaded by Retard.
They were better off with the Nazis
"I'm essentially agreeing with you apologistpuncher. However, like some have said, I think it'll be official when the JLA movie is officially announced."

Well, I disagree. Unless you're an insider, like a WB exec sitting in on the meetings, then there is no way to be sure until it is officially announced.
The "Singerman: Man of Schmeal is dead in the water" party is about to start. Just hold off on pouring the drinks and lighting the fireworks until it's officially announced. That's all.
Just stopped off at Younis' site. It's amazing to see how much the apologists are twisting logic and reality in their denial about JLA and the death of Singerman 2.
"Live action would take too long!"
It would take longer than motion capture???
"It would be too expensive!"
Have you looked at the budgets for the biggest blockbusters lately?
"Ryan Reynolds said he hasn't been approached by WB so it *must* be CG/motion capture!"
Casting hasn't even started yet!
It's just stunning.
"Well, I disagree. Unless you're an insider, like a WB exec sitting in on the meetings, then there is no way to be sure until it is officially announced.

YOU can "hold off" if YOU'D like, I don't live in "fear" of IMPOSSIBILITIES.
Singerman is dead. If you don't like reading it because you are "worried" it isn't, then don't come back until you feel it is "official". Don't rain on OUR parade because you let the Apologists influence YOUR thinking.
Hey, Apologists! Here's a "theme song" for you idiots:
"I am, I am, I am Singerman and I know what's happening.
I am, I am, I am Singerman and I can PEEP anything.
You don't really love that guy you make it with now do you?
I know you don't love that guy cause I can see right through you. And your house. And your clothes.
I am, I am, I am Singerman and I cry for what's happening.
I am, I am, I am Singerman and I can LIFT anything.
If you go a million miles away I'll track you down girl.
Trust me when I say I know the hideaways near your house.
If you go a million miles away I'll track you down girl.
Trust me when I say I know the hideaways near your house.
I am, I am, I am Singerman and I know what's happening.
I am, I am, I am Singerman and I can PEEP anything.
I am, I am, I am Singerman and I cry about what's happening.
I am, I am, I am Singerman and I can LIFT any-thing."
SUPERMAN is finally here!

"Brandon who?" :D
Heads up...Moviehole, who received a bad rap for reporting the "Justice League film being made" rumor to start with, has a separate WB source, that while not committing themselves with a yes or no answer, has hinted Welling may have been discussed..
This isn't a confirmation, typical Hollywood PR, but just making you aware..

I just avoid talking about things that I can't know 100%, simple as that. Sure, I hated Singerman and I believe that, according to what I've read, we'll be getting an announcement any day soon, thus killing Singerman, but I just can't talk, like you do, as if I'm a studio head. I'm not willing to invest 100% in what either SupermanHomepage or IESB is reporting until I hear from the studio itself. I'm not going to sit there and say, "Yep, JLA is happening for sure and Singerman is totally out - for sure! You can bank on it!" Even IESB and SupermanHomepage admit that they could be wrong.
The problem is, from reading your posts today (and in the past), is that you come off as a person who is more interested in winning an argument than anything else. I have to believe that, for you, it's more than just about the movie. You don't even sound like you can be objective about the argument, therefore, even if we both agree and are correct in saying that Singerman was terrible and a piece of crap, you lose credibility for arguing as if you had something personally to lose from the whole affair.
(I realize, if you respond, your typical crude response will be something in the line of, "Go fuck off idiot (for not agreeing with everything I say)! We don't want you here! Blah, blah, blah...." and so forth so you might as well not waste your breath.)

Yes, because EVERYONE but me posts eloquent, well thought-out posts, right? Like YOUR "opinionated" tripe pointed at me?
See, go ahead and be a little "worry-wort" if you choose to be. Just because YOU have no balls, DON'T be telling others what to think themselves. As you OBVIOUSLY could not comprehend this from my previous post, I'm forced to repeat myself like I'm talking to an Apologist. And I probably am.
"You don't even sound like you can be objective about the argument, therefore, even if we both agree and are correct in saying that Singerman was terrible and a piece of crap, you lose credibility for arguing as if you had something personally to lose from the whole affair."
Oh, so because I'm not a WEAK-KNEED SIMPLETON, I "lose credibility"? Give me a fucking break. Just because YOU fold like a cheap tent, don't for a SECOND try to talk like EVERYONE is so weak.
Here's a clue for you, junior: I AIN'T goin' anywhere. Either get used to it, or as you suggested, fuck off!
AP, Making sure nobody likes or listens to him on this blog once again. The way I'm reading it is that some people don't want to get excited that MOS isn't happening and then IF it does, get depressed and pissed off. Hell even SSS is being cautious. But apparently everyone who comes to this blog is a junior who don't have anywhere near the wit and intelligence of AP. Somebody who has yet to show intelligence on this blog. But he would be great in a Yo Momma..contest.
Apologistpuncher,
Point take - you don't want anyone to disagree with you. You've won the argument. Okay, I get it. I'm not going to keep arguing this point, but want to add one more thing before I do go.
Sure, disagree with people, tell them why they're wrong, but stop taking it so personally. Even though you're willing to "shoot down" the people who are on your side on this issue, I refuse to believe that you treat people you meet face to face in life the same way you do people on here, whether they agree with you or not. I just have to believe that you don't.
That's all I'm going to say.
"Apologistpuncher,

At least say SOMETHING. Don't just WHINE like a little girl with a skinned-knee.
Since you seem have trouble COMPREHENDING, it's obvious YOU were just looking for a fight. Plenty of people can disagree, sure. But when you REPEATEDLY state the same weak-kneed BULLSHIT, it's going to get called on. How you reacted shows YOUR maturity level.
And look, surprise, surprise, an APOLOGIST is "defending" you. What are the ODDS of that??
"But when you REPEATEDLY state the same weak-kneed BULLSHIT, it's going to get called on. "
Sure, call them out on it, but what you do is going beyond arguing their point. You have to include crude and cutting remarks of the person's character at the same time. Sorry, it goes beyond just "calling them out on it" as far as you're concerned and you know it.
"How you reacted shows YOUR maturity level."
Because I said that you were taking it too far? No, it doesn't matter with you. You will call anyone who disagrees with you childish and immature. You'll use any tactic, such as calling me immature for telling you to stop with the personal attacks, even when most people in real life would say that this attitude would not be acceptable at most places (i.e, school, in the work place, etc., etc.). That's like a person trying to stop a fight and someone telling him he's immature for doing so. Sorry, just because you say it's immature doesn't simply make it so.
It makes me wonder if you were loved as a child. No seriously, it really does. Even if that was or wasn't the case, that still doesn't give you the right to be crude to others the way you are.
"And look, surprise, surprise, an APOLOGIST is "defending" you. What are the ODDS of that??"
Like I said, you are arguing to win the argument, not to objectively argue your point. There's a difference. The first is willing to argue his point whether he's right or wrong. The second is willing to concede IF he is wrong. Like I said, I don't disagree with you regarding Singerman, but you're the first type, not the second.
Anyway, nuff' said.
"It makes me wonder if you were loved as a child. No seriously, it really does. Even if that was or wasn't the case, that still doesn't give you the right to be crude to others the way you are."
Oh Jesus Fucking Christ... How fucking SAD are you kid? Trying to psycho-analyze postings on a BLOG? You are a pathetic piece of work.
See, I ADMIT I come here to fuck with the Apologists. From DAY ONE. But you, being an "Apologist Sympathizer", you think we should be "coddlers" like they are at SingerSuckerHomoPage. Guess what, chicken shit? NOT HAPPENING.
Oh, but since we are gauging what type of person someone is from BLOG POSTS, let me give it a crack:
There are people with conviction, and people without. People WITH, will be firm in their "beliefs", and not back down due to FEAR of the "impossible" or "unknown". Those WITHOUT, will make a statement, then IMMEDIATELY back-down when challenged. Guess which you are, Freud?
Proclaim your "dislike" for Singerman, but it's obvious which side of the fence YOUR allegiance lays. Just saying "I dislike it too" means NOTHING when you are quick to "defend" the shitheads. Me? I'll state how much it sucked, reasons why, and give you a hearty "Fuck off" to boot.
Will I "Apologize" for it? Fuck off!
Gee AP, you're such a wonderful human being.
Jesus, "joel", you're a fucking milquetoast.
And YES, you can go look it up...
lol
Last word.
